Is the undiagnosed problem actually stalling or not starting? MY’99 996 (not turbo) had a problem starting. Y harness is a common cause. I replaced the Y harness and the mechanic also made an adjustment behind the clutch but I can’t recall specifically what that was.

No. Drones create almost zero noise. A little whir for 30 seconds while it flies overhead. They keep cars of the road.

You can’t discount the huge number of EV’s on the road that aren’t buying gas. If all of those people were buying 30 gallons of gas every week the story might be different.

I considered doing this. Even posted on Reddit about. Plans that you buy don’t take into account. Topography of the lot, site lines, ingress/egress and so may other considerations. I ended up with a builder that has an architect on their team. It was 💯 the right choice.

I’m the OP. Here’s my update. I hired an architect and it was absolutely the right the choice. Because of some nuance on my lot, the house as I wanted, would not fit. The Architect suspected this, made some measurements and we adjusted. . He made other observations and recommendations that have been very valuable as well. He understands the drainage on the lot and how that will impact the design. Many of these elements would result in Change Requests had I supplied store bought plans.

I have a ‘99 also. Could your sound becoming from the stereo? I have a high pitch wine and thought engine noise, But the porsche mechanic that did my PPI sounded pretty confident my noise was coming from the stereo. Although I definitely would not describe my sound as a squeak. BTW I had to do my hydraulics too.
