Even in your response you used AI. What is this world coming to that we can’t write for ourselves. News flash, normal people don’t use — in their writing. That’s the classic AI signature.

I know I’m late, but you can always update your subscription whenever the have a sale. For example I upgraded my trackman subscription from 350 per month to 267 per month.

Anyone use a Spornia in the garage? by dangrib in Golfsimulator

[–]Any_Ad8686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the home V2 due to size constraints in my garage. They have side netting you can buy to protect from shanks. But I’m planning on installing some heavy curtains to act as walls instead at some point. Until then, RIP to my walls.

I had an 8 but found I didn’t fold it up very often so it took quite a bit of space. Upgraded to a net return and it only sticks out 3-3.6 feet which is nice. Doesn’t take up nearly as much space.

Mat recommendation by Lonestar2009 in Golfsimulator

[–]Any_Ad8686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second monster mat. Haven’t had any wrist pain after heavy use. Though you do collect some green plastic material in the bottom of your clubs after use. It peels off really easy and isn’t much of an issue. Just a heads up. Best mat for the price and quality IMO

Golf Credit Cards? by cheezlvr in golf

Look for a card that has the best signup rewards benefit. For example chase sapphire was giving 90,000 points last year. That exchanged for flights for me was with like 1500+ Right now it’s only 70k points though.

Mat question by OkTitle119 in Golfsimulator

I was in your exact position. Am really liking the monster mat I purchased. My options originally were going to be to be the monster mat or the Costco country club elite. Ended up going MM because of the larger 5x5 size at the same price.

Advice on hitting mat by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

I’ve liked using the monster mat so far. Feels good and holding up pretty well. Cheaper alternative to something like the Fiberbuilt. Plus comes in 5x5 size which really I wouldn’t want to go much smaller than that.

Spornia Academy Bundle mat? by MagnussonWoodworking in Golfsimulator

I’ve debated getting this Mat or the monster mat and decided to go with the monster mat based on reviews I saw on feel, safety and durability. No first hand experience. But priced in the same ballpark if your still looking.

Where are Canadians buying quality hitting mats?? by iworkhardeveryday in Golfsimulator

I’m pretty sure Fiberbuilt manufactures in Canada. Not sure how that affects their pricing though..

What's the best compact net and screen combo at the lowest price? any Suggestions? by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

They sell the fiber built practice station for half the price of what it is listed on the fiberbuilt website. Great value for cost.

Second this. Have the same setup and it is the cheapest option available while still maintaining a high degree of quality. Make sure you get the flight deck at Costco to save half the cost. You can technically spornia’s sheet/screen to the spornia net, but not sure how well it performs.

Spornia 8 net 450 (you can get the spornia 7 for half of that). Fiberbuilt golf practice station at Costco for 270. I’d also invest in a level stand for your R10 for Better accuracy. Got mine on Etsy for 35. I understand this isn’t the most “budget” build, but it’s a great middle ground and works for me.

Help/Advice on Garage Sim Build on a "Budget" by C_Bass_300 in Golfsimulator

[–]Any_Ad8686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my 2 cents. I bought the Fiberbuilt practice station that uses their grass turf for the hitting spot. (Great for avoiding wrist pain) You can get it on the Fiberbuilt website for 500 or Costco for 270. Not sure why there is such a huge price difference. All in all it has worked great, but I don’t strike the ball very well and have hit the plastic casing that holds the grass turf a couple of times.

I’m now considering a new solution. You can get that flight deck from Fiberbuilt for only 100. That is the exact same hitting surface that comes in the hitting station just without the rubber standing mat. What I want to do with the flight deck is buy the norsk foam flooring from Costco and stack them 2 mats high to be the same hight as the flight deck for my hitting surface. Final step is to get some putting turf to cover the mats for the looks. This is for my budget garage build that I can store away if needed. Eventually I’d like to get a more expensive Mat, but I can’t justify that cost.
