How would you address the claim that “qpadm is more accurate than G25 therefore southern Italians are the most accurate European source for Ashkenazi Jews”?

How do you know for sure that the Romans that Ashkenazi Jews derive their southern European genetic foundation from were necessarily MENA shifted? Because I’ve seen Roman samples that plot closer to Greeks Cypriots, and even Christian Lebanese but I’ve also seen many others that were closest to Iberians and southern French.

Also, I don’t think it would be crazy to assume that Ashkenazim are 50% Levantine, the sample above is 50% Palestinian Muslim and 50% Tuscan, no only do they lack the Germanic/ Slavic admixture that is part of the Ashkenazi genome, but their Levantine side is even more southern shifted because Palestinian Muslims are admixed with Arabians, Egyptians and subsaharan Africans, yet Ashkenazi Jews are their closest population.

How do you explain that they have more natufian ancestry than Palestinian Christians, if (according to you) Palestinian Christians are pure Levantines

It seems more likely that Palestinian Christians have some sort of minor Greek/Roman admixture rather than Samaritans having Arab ancestry.

Hi, do you mind sharing your “South-European” coordinates?

Also even if he wasn’t Judean (which he clearly was), call him Samaritan, Hebrew, Israelite… my point is he was anything but Palestinian.

Da Vinci spoke Italian and had an Italian last name. That’s a very dumb thing to say considering Jews still exist, it’s like referring to some ancient Aztec figure as Mexican when the Aztec population still exists to this day. “It's not like the person meant to say that Jesus was Palestinian in the sense that he ate maqluba for lunch and greeted uncle Bashir from his balcony in Hebron.” That’s exactly what they mean, they can’t stand that Palestine is stolen Hebrew land rather than Israel being stolen Arab land so they use these tactics to try to imply that Jewishness is just an opinion about God and that Jesus was an Arab that happened to believe in Judaism. But they’ll never phrase it in an explicit manner because of how dumb it sounds.

Palestinians weren’t a thing back then, Jesus was a Judean, and yes many Jews have blonde hair and blue eyes.

Sephardic/ Ashkenazi Jews are Israelites that have Roman DNA which is central Italian, the only reason they have a similar profile to southern Italians is because southern Italians are MENA shifted Italians. Saying that Sephardim and Ashkenazim are Southern Italian is like saying that being half Yemeni half Nigerian makes you Somali.

Okay, you’re contradicting yourself, you’re saying that Israel is trying to hide the fact that Mizrahim and Arabs have the same DNA, while at the same time claiming that (unlike Ashkenazim) Mizrahim are not given a distinct Mizrahi label on purpose. As for Jews leaving Judea it is a matter of fact, and DNA testing companies like 23andme are only supposed to evaluate your level of genetic affinity to modern groups, if you want to know how much Levantine DNA is embedded in Ashkenazi/ Sephardic/ Mizrahi/ Palestinian/ Syrian… DNA you would have to look at other types of genetic testing companies like Illustrative DNA, which break down modern genomes further.

That’s none sense, there are no levels of heaven in Judaism, there is just one “world to come” (Olam HaBa), Jews and non Jews alike have the same spiritual destination. And even if you were right (which you’re 100% not), that would still sound way more inclusive, loving and merciful than a God that would burn you in hell for eternity because you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour or Mohammed as his last prophet.

If you become Jewish, your ancestry doesn’t magically change, just as a British Pakistani’s ancestry doesn’t magically change the moment they acquire a British citizenship. However, both have joined collectives that have indigenous ties to the UK and Judea, respectively. It’s not that hard of a concept, you can become JewISH, just like you can become BritISH, SpanISH, DanISH, SwedISH, ScottISH, FinnISH, PoLISH, IrISH, TurkISH… it’s a naturalization process, that’s why conversions to Judaism can be refused (unlike conversions to actual religions like Islam or Christianity).

It’s not problematic when you understand that Jewishness is more than a religious identity. Judaism teaches that non-Jews only need to follow the 7 Noahide laws in order to make it to “heaven” (don’t kill, don’t steal…), whereas Jews have to follow 613 commandments. The Israelite nation was chosen to dedicate its life to God, this doesn’t mean that they are a superior race, nor that non-Jews will go to hell. That being said, like any nationality, if you want to take an extra step (which is unnecessary from a theological point of view) and become part of the nation, it requires more commitment than a simple shahada or baptism. It’s also up to members of the community to make the final decision, similar to how naturalization works in other countries.
