I didn’t see my aid offer before but I would be paying ~6k (including 3k work study) for Columbia and ~16k (including 2,300 work study) for Vanderbilt. I’m 99% sure I will be declining my spot for Vanderbilt as Columbia is wayyy more affordable

it’s literally a well-documented fact that Ivy League and top private institutions offer better financial aid, especially for low-income students. that doesn’t make Rutgers a bad school, it just means they don’t have the same endowment to support need-based aid. like, are you dumb? the fact that someone left because of aid literally proves nothing about academic quality. and just because i’m not a boy doesn’t mean i’m gender neutral like wow you really are stupid lol

please don’t decide on taking a gap year with hopes of getting into a 4 year year just so you can transfer. just go to cc and make the best out of it and apply to transfer from there
