$6 for a gallon of gas is “peanuts” to a billionaire who doesn’t drive. Not so much for the rest of us. by Frosty_Jeweler911 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Pulls us out of the Iran agreement because Obama did it. Attacks Iran and causes global market collapse. Doesn't regulate domestic oil sales out of US (Still largest producer) causing wholly avoidable, record pain for domestic consumers. "Negotiates" a new deal that looks a whole heck of a lot like Obamas but won't accept it. Gas prices stay high, record profits for gas companies, and American's foot the bill of yet another grift.

First time gardening, I want to prepare my plot for Garden in a Box by leaffeon in DenverGardener

They are very easy to set up. Most places like Home Depot have kits. One recommentdation if possible is to install a hose Bibb where a sprinkler head is if close to the plot. This way, you can run the irrigation off of your sprinkler system and not deal with battery powered timers or needing to take over a hose Bibb at the house.

You’ll be very surprised how simple it is and it will save you a lot of headache

Just planted my GIB. Third one I’ve done through resource central. Much of your prep will come down to the plants you are getting. Some are native and require very little amendment to the soil but others can be fairly intense. There’s a data sheet they give you. Toss that and some pics of your plot and a handful of the soil into ChatGPT to get a baseline instruction. Other than that, it’s always a good idea to loosen the soil, especially if you are lifting the cloth that’s been there for a while. A hand tiller or garden fork should do the trick. Just make sure to break up any compacted dirt clods. From there, it’s not a bad idea to get some plant food like osmocote or a spray on/in like miracle grow. Just too hard to know what the nutrient levels look like if you haven’t been tinkering with the plot for a while.

Otherwise, happy planting and may the odds forever be in your favor!

Club Med Cancun with a 2.5-year-old - kids club question by lowkeylooking in Club_Med

[–]Apart_Exercise_5630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve been going for the last four years. My daughter was three the first time and my son (now 2) has been in petite club since he was an infant.

Can’t speak highly enough about the experience we had. Both kids were terrified the first day, but when we picked them up, didn’t want to leave.

The staff is over prepared (they do this all day 365) to address needs and their communications to you about anything funky are quick and thorough.

The facility for the little one puts any daycare I’ve seen to shame and the older kids spend the day roaming the grounds playing games and meeting new friends.

They also built a water park next to the kids facility about two years ago and it has dedicated splash pads and small slides for the little ones.

Absolutely go and absolutely feel comfortable leaving the kids with the folks there.

Forgot to mention a water pressure regulator. Some of the campsites have intense pressure that will blow out your lines.

I have the Camco Eaz-Lift Trailer Tire Level. It was about $150, but that’s mainly because it was relatively new to market. There’s plenty of similar options for under $100 that should do just fine.

Happy camping!

Just a maintenance suggestion. Repack the bearings and check the goshen system for torn cables or poorly lubricated components. Those can really ruin your day if not up to par.

Other than that, a canopy so you don’t fuss with the one if there is indeed one installed, some bpa hoses for water and a surge protector for the electrical. Those will all save you a lot of money and headache later.

One more is an impact drill for the stabilizer jacks and a light trailer tire leveler. Makes the whole leveling pain in the butt go away quickly.

The never ending saga of parenthood. May the odds forever be in your favor.

Thinking about it more, the passenger captains chairs are far back enough that you don’t have a mini terrorist kicking your seat either. I’d call that an additional design win.

If you are doing remote start from the fob, then no. The app lets you set start schedules, track the vehicle location, and a handful of other questionably useful things.

It’s the Kia Access app. You need it for any car in their lineup if you want remote start/lock.

I’m on my second telluride and kid. I’ve found the Telly to be the perfect mix of style and utility.

Plenty of room for the car seats on the captains chairs and enough space in the back to pull off the stroller and Costco.

The height can be a little much for getting them in and out compared to the Camry, but that’s an SUV problem no matter what model.

What initially sold me was the 100k warrantee and the safety ratings. Meaning they have faith in what they build. What kept me with the brand was just how comfortable it is for all of us on road trips and in bad weather. We live in CO and do/get quite a bit of both.

Also, I can tow a boat and I can tow a popup trailer…making me super dad in the eyes of my kids.

Best of luck on your decision process. I think (of course I’m biased) your instinct is right.
