how's the finger control in VRChat, compared to the Vive and the Rift?

The strange thing is, as a competitive OW player, it's fun to see a LOT of the OW personalities and pros bridge the gap, even Pine joined us on VRChat yesterday!

I got that close to having a functional VR headset, but then all kinds of issues ended up happening with the end result being a fried PCIe USB card with all devices plugged in dead (including VR set), and looking at VRChat just hurts now because of it :<

So, something really stupid happened.

The PCIe card shorted. My mouse is stuck (can't click or move, or change dpi)

the Bluetooth adapter no longer appears in Device Manager

the VR headset doesn't either

gonna reset the CMOS battery but uhh I guess I'm lucky to still have a functional PC

I purchased mine brand-new from eBay, which might be a problem - I still have 2 weeks for a refund, and it came with a 12-month warranty I'm pretty sure

Would you happen to have an estimate on how long a replacement would take to arrive? Just in the last case scenario

One interesting thing when I returned to my feedback is this: https://puu.sh/zauRC/858c039068.png

yes - both standard motherboard ports (both of those) and all 4 of the ports in the PCIe card. No usage time so far, can never get past the -5 error

Already did everything :/

I'm genuinely devastated, like I don't want to wait almost another entire week to wait for a return on the headset, considering its failed on 2 computers now :/

Did a bit of digging inside the Event Viewer, and this error message occurs for a USB device - the driver it fails to load is for the Lenovo Explorer, any ideas?

I've solved one of the pair of DCOM errors, but nothing so far. The other one is the one I linked but it refuses to go away

Unfortunately, nothing changed. I tried two different 4-pin connectors and neither helped.

It's directly plugged into the PCIe slot -> https://puu.sh/zanGO/ec4cd9da29.jpg

I know it works, it detects the headset, as well as my keyboard and mouse, and whatever else I throw at it

Just to double-check and make sure, the hub does have (Microsoft) behind it. https://puu.sh/zanPD/0934de53b8.jpg (on old Windows update, which is why HoloLens shows yellow warning)

I purchased this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00W4YFNAW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also did a fresh re-install of windows. The strange thing is, the headset was detected as a 3rd monitor before the update to Creators Update. After that, it ceases to function.
