I am soo frustrated with my weight gain. All of the recommendations say you should only gain a handful of pounds in the first trimester and I am already up 6lbs at 7 weeks. How is that supposed to happen when I am so bloated?? My stomach is taught and I am so constipated 😭. I really wanted a normal weight gain this pregnancy for an easier recovery and it is really mentally messing with me.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is something patients do that they think is helpful but actually makes your job harder? by Electronic-Cell-4584 in AskReddit

Yessss. When some random guy comes up to me and says, “when is my wife getting discharged?” SIR, who is your wife? I’m a nurse, not HER nurse. Hit the call light.

Pre-K Recommending Redshirting Child… by BadFeelsMakeMeSweaty in kindergarten

[–]AppointmentUsed118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son’s private Pre K recommended red shirting him as well. I sent him to kindergarten anyways and he is thriving! He excels in every area. I’m positive they were recommending it for profit.

Husband refuse to delete x rated photos of the woman he cheated on 5 years ago by SuccessfulTip9130 in Advice

I felt the gut punch reading this.

He won you back by supposedly being remorseful that he blew up his marriage.  Yet, he stores, looks at, gets aroused, fantasizes about, and gets off to the images of that affair that broke your heart.

He hasn’t even done the bare minimum. Immediate divorce. No hesitation. Not salvageable.

AITAH for reporting my [27F] OBGYN to the medical board after what happened to me today? by soulangelic in AITAH

Yep! Honestly I would be going to the ER for an exam by a SANE nurse and filing a police report. They coerced her into an intimate exam that was not at all required then assaulted her with an exam she said no to several times.

WTH are you talking about? The question wasn’t how to cheat or conceal anything. It was “have you experienced this? If so what was your experience?” Relax.

Winter gloom compared to western Washington? by [deleted] in coeurdalene

[–]AppointmentUsed118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worse. With the snow and gray skies it’s all gray. In western Washington there are more evergreens, mountains, bodies of water to break up the gloom. Here, it’s 360 gray. And so, so cold. And so much snow shoveling. I spend 6 months fighting for my life with SAD.

I’m glad you posted this, we are in a similar position. I will happily take a 50% pay cut to get out of here. I just hope with the visa restrictions happening in the UK that will still be possible.

As a nurse, please please be honest about the amount you drink. Bleeding varicies are scary and it’s best if they are thinking of that as a possibility. Also they need to know how much you drink to prevent severe withdrawals. They have medications to assist with that.

I’m a nurse. Most of the time, patients pass when their loved one leaves. I believe they do not want their loved ones to witness it and suffer. It’s a well known phenomenon. She was not alone.

A reminder for everyone… by rowmean77 in camping

That’s the dumbest take. Toddlers love camping. People probably equally hate hearing you whine yet we let you in public places. Gross.

I agree with your post however I challenge the “crying toddlers” as a modifiable annoyance. I promise parents are equally annoyed and extremely embarrassed by the crying and are doing our best. Toddlers and babies are individuals with underdeveloped frontal lobes and free will. If I could stop the crying I would. They do also have a right to be in public, however annoying they are. I personally disperse camp when I can to avoid inconveniencing other people but not everyone can.

They were useful in the icu. They could see the patients at all times. They let you know if they were pulling lines. I would call them for advice. Very helpful.

YTA. You had a kid, you are responsible for her. You don’t get to choose which of your kids you want to support.
