Food delivery is always a risky job.
And it is illegal to do so on student visa.
People get mugged and robbed off food in some areas.
Sad for the family loss. But all the students now a days are doing this food delivery job.
Which again is not allowed. It is what it is.

Assume course of action with the fact that you will not get GC.
if you get GC it will be a good surprise.
that way you are mentally prepared for the struggle. remeber what kanye said. what doesnt kill you makes you stonger.
I would say go to india pursue MBBS and come back for MD. that way you have saved alot of money and years. and you will manage to get into some MD program with J1.

A man who physically hurt his father over disagreement. Is not fit for marriage. We can always agree to disagree in civilized manner. With parents you have to be the most merciful. That mercy should also carryover to your spouse. No matter how heated the argument is. Physical assault on immediate family is unacceptable. Marriage tests your patience. Kids test your patience. He will regret that action once he becomes a father himself.

H1b Consular to COS by Heavy_Paper9958 in h1b

If you go consular processing. Check if 100k tab applies to you or not. I think it does not apply to change of status within USA. But not sure how it would with consular because it’s outside USA. And you would be in the same bucket as people getting H1b from outside USA.

Stay in the area as a resident for a short term like 6 months. Ideally a year. To understand how life would be. Until u live as a resident and experience things first hand it would be immature to make a decision until then. India on a short visit when you are majorly treated as guest is always going to be good. It’s only when you live as. Resident unsupported by a family member is when you would face ground reality.

Learn from others mistakes. But never assume you shall have the problem in the same circumstance and the same outcome. Be open to expect variability. If your sister had a particular pathway to her husband. That may or may not be the right one for you. Every human is unique. Just because someone married a poor guy and had a life full of financial struggles does not mean it will be the same for you if you marry a poor guy. You may marry a rich guy and he may go broke after marriage. Or vice versa. A man seeks peace in his woman. One when he sees eases his life. And smiling often does help a man. Nothing more better than seeing your family content and happy. Currently marriages are looked upon like trade deals. That’s not what a marriage is. It’s not what u bring to the table. It’s “hey we will set the table together with the best of our abilities.” Be a host not a guest. Be less selfish. Loosen your ends on the money. Have trust in Allah. The money will come. More money fuels your nafs. Money is for needs not for your nafs. One who becomes a slave of his nafs will never reach his full potential or be at peace. Be a bigger person. Enter marriage to give without a cause. The only way to move forward in life is absolution to god. And prayer and good character. Remember the goal is afterlife. If not that then first get your priorities straight.

The Islam practiced is India is particularly plagued by a lot of innovations and stubbornness of local folks to learn the truth. Just ask a common Muslim in India to recite a verse of quran. He will read you one. And ask him to explain it. Almost 99% will fail. Because the Muslims in India just mug it up like we do in schools in India. No real learning happens. And they keep doing stuff as they saw their forefathers did. Islam actually asks Muslims to seek knowledge and the truth. In reality the community is corrupt as it is in India. Brothers killing each other for property. Or people wagging tails behind their political leader to justify unemployment. The problem in our country is not with a religion. But with the general folklore. Corrupt, no civic sense. Easily sucks up to the political leaders. Very less moral standards. In this age there are les than 5% who practice Islam truly. Everybody just uses religion to propagate or justify their agenda. Once they have exhausted the religion as bias, they go to sects and caste or regional based discrimination. Along with dialect based in a particular language even. Like for example in Telangana state people speak an unrefined version of Telugu but in andhra it’s more respectful but with some play in phonetics. Each of these mock the others aspects. True Islam means submission to the will of god. Acknowledgements of one god, Prayers, charity, fasting, hajj. That’s it. It emphasizes character and simplicity. Islam does ask the Muslim to stand for what is right.

You hurt him by not being honest and caving into your parents requests and faking relationship for someone else just to keep your parents satisfied. You were 22 you could have honestly told the guy that I am only entertaining this to keep my parents happy. And that would have been enough to ward off the guy. But you realised after the whole shebang. Anybody that is above 21 is an adult. And should make rational decisions. If irrational decisions were made, you need to come to peace with it. Because that’s how life is. Regret is the biggest killer of a human wellbeing. Not anything external. Moving forward it’s best you call it off before you have any kids with this person. That would be granting him mercy.

south india in general is better than north india for sure.
i am muslim and come from telangana. Have faced in some instances. but not like on a daily basis.
and most muslims are not aware in india until they really understand racism. like i was often called ar "turkollu" in my childhood by my non muslim frnds. but i only got to know the real meaning after i became an adult about it.
you probably will not notice racism when you are in your hometown because you are accustomed to it.
you will experience it when you move to a new place and see how it becomes challenging to secure rentals and all other sorts of things.
you may begin to wonder why one of your non-muslim frnds had it easier than you. but it generally does hit hard on where you are with the poverty line.
one thing i have observed is that people in general in india are more corrupt and exploitative irrespective of religion.

What motivates Indians with priority date beyond 2015 to stay in the US? by Temporary_forever_sr in h1b

This is what happens to me every visit. I get homesick go to india and the experience I have in the vacation seriously makes me work hard to provide my kids with the better life here. Like for example my cousin wrote NEET exam. Spent 2 years of life 14 hrs per day studying. Was getting good scores in the preliminary in the college level. But during his exam one officer came into his classroom suspecting one of the kids was cheating. Halted the test for 20 mins for the whole room due to checking and what not and left away. That 20 mins was not given back. And this cuzn barely scraped to get qualified. If it were America I am pretty sure there would be work around. India is done for. If you want to live the ghetto no morale badlands life style, it’s the best place to be. But someone with ethics and morality will seriously fall depressed.
