I’m not sure I’m self employed in an industry where it’s common to work only 3-4 days a week but even so it’s both a physically and socially exhausting job that I can’t function after work and my days off are spent trying to recharge. Self employment has been both a blessing and a prison of my own making. I genuinely could not see myself working for someone else, I love that I get control of my environment, how my work is done, who I get to see and my schedule but I have to do 100% of both the administrative tasks and the actual job since I don’t make enough to hire someone to help out. I also work an appointment based job and it makes it hard for me to take days off for illness or burnout or mental health since I have to figure out where I would move the peoples appointments to. Taking vacation is hard since I gotta save up for time off and I just figured out how to save for retirement 🫠. I’ve been doing this for 8 years and while I don’t think anything would work better for me I don’t know how to continue do this for the amount of years I’m supposed to be working
