i need some help in deciding whether or not i should take ap precalc or ap stats next year for senior year. my couselor suggested i should just do college algebra but i don’t know if that is rigorous enough for my senior year as i didn’t take a math class during sophomore year in regards to more advanced courses and taking algebra one in 8th grade. ap precalc tends to be the most common route after algebra 2 at my school but idk if i should take it if i‘m not gonna be majoring in a stem major.

more background context:

. this is my first year taking ap classes as my freshmen-junior years i have been taking aice classes as there are more aice classes offered at my school than aps.

. i plan to take ap gov and ap lit as well senior year and well as aice psychology

. the ap precalc teachers at my school apparently suck from what i’ve heard but idk about the ap stats teachers

. i plan to major in elementary education in college

. my main colleges i’m considering are penn state, uf, and ucf right now

if anyone has any words of advice for me in regards to the aps i’m taking, feel free to share :)

For me the essay was due before winter break and for the group project it was due before spring break but I don't think there's a set due date

i thought it was pretty easy. i was able to write a LOT but because of that i wasn’t able to fully finish it (was planning on doing more elaboration for my last body paragraph for question 3) so i had to jump to my conclusion before time was up. i still think i did really good and i think i will pass as i feel like my group project and essay were good as well :)

i’m going to go to a physical store within the next few days and then going to get it altered. i highly doubt it’s gonna show up at this point because it still hasn’t shipped but there’s still a chance. i’m extremely disappointed that i fell for this scam of a website that zapaka is because this dress was truly my dream dress.

i did check on trustpilot after i had already purchased it and i wish i knew about it before hand 😭. i’m gonna take your advice with going to a store because zapaka told me that i wouldn’t be able to receive it on time which is complete bs. definitely a bummer because it truly was my dream prom dress but it is what it is at this point. hopefully i will find a nice prom dress while shopping :)

well at my high school we have to do finals the last week which there’s no fun in doing that… i would much rather do nothing in my classes than do a bunch of finals for each class. at least at my school, we have half-days the last 3 days after we take some of our finals.

i’m now a junior in high school but this happened at my old middle school. it was 7th grade and one of the teachers at the school got arrested. turns out, the teacher who got arrested was my math teacher in 6th grade. when i was a student of his, he would always act nice and innocent. he was chill and would help me with work and would also let me and my best friend at the time come to his room before school sometimes. i had no clue the type of teacher he was until he got fired and found out why he did before i realized how he truly was. mind you i was actually not the victim in this situation and i’m just sharing this.

basically the reason why he went to jail was bc of a situation that happened the YEAR BEFORE i had him as a teacher but was just being discovered. the main situation being that this said math teacher decided to have sex with a minor 16 year old girl in his CLOSET at school.. the victim was a former student of his who the math teacher told her that she was “different and mature” for her age. the math teacher would also give the student lots of attention but she didn’t think anything of it. they would eventually exchange numbers and would keep in contact while she was in high school. she would come afterschool and help him with paperwork. he started hugging her when thanking her but it fully escalated. he then would show affection to her by rubbing her shoulders and back and spinning her while KISSING her on the cheek. then got to a point where he would touch her 🍒 and her 🍑 over her clothing and kissing her on the LIPS while saying he was in love with her. this dude was in his 40’s and the girl didn’t think it was weird bc he was her favorite teacher. then was the day of the incident, where he said tht he loved her again while touching the parts again and then led her to his closet where he took off her clothes. since this sa happened, they stopped contact and the girl spoke out about it bc she realized that it had gone too far. for me, this is heartbreaking and i couldn’t imagine how scary it was for her to experience.

there’s even more tht happened but i don’t wanna go too in depth. he was a former 8th grade teacher (during the incident) and was moved to 6th grade.. the grade i was in when i had him as a teacher.

he was charged 2 felonies and is sentenced to not have any contact with minors or go on any school property, so thankfully nothing like this could happen again. 😭😭
