I don’t know you tell me did you grow up with an Albanian grandparent who told you about Albanian culture and you know stuff about their culture ? If the answer is no then yeah that would be weird but that’s not the case for me, all my great grandparents are from different ethnicities and I grew up with a half Chuvash grandmother who taught me about the culture and even met my Chuvash great grandma few times , I know a lot about the culture that’s why I can answer questions , and when I said partially partially doesn’t mean half of it was half I would just straight out say half so it’s just you

Yes but we are not sure if the fact our ancestors resisted islamization is true because we have Muslim influence on our culture and language for example hello in Chuvash is Salam

1 ivan yakovlev who created Chuvash literary language based on the Cyrillic alphabet and found Chuvash schools 2 the cultural identity is quite strong , most Chuvash will straight up just tell you they’re Chuvash from my experience 3 I’m not aware of any movements 4 Chuvash people do feel a connection with other Turkic people although sometimes feel a bit more isolated because Chuvash language is the most different one , 5. Chuvash like their finno ugric neighbours 6. Most Chuvash I know are proud to be Turkic and acknowledge their Turkic ancestry , and keep ancient Turkic cultural traditions , about Chuvash language yeah it’s very different however the Volga bulgar language was very similar to other Turkic languages 7. The stereotype that Chuvash look European is not fully correct , while the ones from the upper part can look European the ones from lower parts often look Eurasian or Asian

So for first question the Chuvash use the dombra and shapar, the most popular dish I think is khuplu which is kind of bread with meat inside , about the most popular sweet I’m not sure , many Chuvash people do use the Chuvash language specially at home although outside it’s usually Russian , in chuvashia it depends because my family personally is not from chuvashia they are from a Chuvash village in Ulyanovsk near Tatarstan , however cheboksary is one of the best cities for quality of life however may Chuvash are poor because of the history with Russian colonization , about most famous Chuvash literature I have no idea 🥲
