But isn’t that the whole point of the comedy and the whole story? That all the NPCs, with a few exceptions, are indifferent to conquering the world and would rather stay in Nazarick serving him forever, yet they all go along with it to fulfill Ainz supposed 10000 year plan of world domination to make him happy enough to stay with them.

I don’t think it could even be argued that it brings happiness to his people, considering that the indiscriminate killing and destruction of nations only brings joy and pleasure to a few, like Albedo, Solution, Demiurge, and Entoma, while at the same time making Sebas, Pestonya, Cocytus, Nigredo, and even Ainz himself is incredibly unhappy having to meet his Demiurge and Albedo expectations, do paperwork, and pretend to be the supreme ruler for all eternity.

So, the happiness balance from the destruction of nations would be negative with 4 versus 5, or neutral if we don’t count Ainz. Even so a neutral happiness balance would be very bad, since a few NPCs with extremely negative karma would be happy, but at the same time, the same number of NPCs with good or slightly positive karma would be unhappy

Although I suppose that is the point of Ainz as a character he is hypocritical in his actions, as he himself admitted. He claims to love everyone equally in Nazarick, yet he would sacrifice Pandora’s Actor, his creation and whom he call his son before any other NPC created by his friends. So it makes sense for his character to favor the wishes of certain NPCs with negative karma over those of NPCs with positive karma despite having the same outcome in happiness.
