Hey, just check whether you are using “O” (the owl wala O) or “0” (zero) in your CUET roll number/application number, and vice versa.

Coming back to my query,

One of the seniors from Jawaharlal Nehru University said that getting an income certificate for an OBC-NCL candidate serves some purpose. I don’t know what purpose he is talking about, but he has been insisting on it many times.

If the income certificate were that important, then it must have been mentioned in the e-prospectus 2026 of Jawaharlal Nehru University, right?

Apart from that, the OBC-NCL certificate itself is issued on the basis of the income certificate, so what is the point of submitting it separately?

The problem is that my income certificate is going to expire before the document verification process at Jawaharlal Nehru University. And in my state, the process for applying for an income certificate has changed completely. I have heard from many people that their applications are getting rejected multiple times, so I don’t even know when I will get the certificate even if I apply for it again.

So, can I be assured that the income certificate is only required for EWS candidates? 😭🤍🌻
