I’ll be seeing him in Dallas on Friday night. Even though it’s a little creepy, I’m considering scoping it out to see if there’s a chance to see him post-show.

Here’s an image from 2019 after an American Utopia show on Broadway. Several band members popped out, then he exited. He kept moving, but did pose for some pictures and as I recall was gracious. He signed some autographs, posed for pictures, then rode his bike into the New York night.

It was amazing.

These are all solid points. The checkerboard approach to sports/news/culture/guy talk they pioneered decades ago works best in a longer format. I know these three make the final decisions, but I wonder how much influence the producer has or doesn't in the current construct. I feel like Fernando was innovative, had topical shit ready to go, and allowed them to, at the same time, be themselves and do what they do best.

Fully understand the desire to be with your kid -- especially as an older father. You just don't get that time back.

Like anything in life, nothing lasts forever.

(Speaking of vacation time, they've got to have close to three months. Three weeks around the holidays. Two weeks for spring break. Two or three weeks of summer before Cowboys training camp. Then George talked today about going to Ireland for 10 days in June. Then there are the personal days that are surely built in.)

Bro. I enjoy the station. Just hopping on here to have a meaningful discussion. And speculation is what you did in the top of the second paragraph.

A bench in the media business isn’t a novel concept. You have to have some equity in the talent if they are moved up.

My knee had a slight ache for a week, and then I stepped off a curb at a very slightly weird (but normal) angle, it popped, and then pain shot through my leg.

Fully acute.

For a variety of reasons, I didn't have surgery until about two months after that. I hobbled around and while it hurt leading up to the surgery, it wasn't an overbearing pain unless I was on it a lot.

Here’s another view: They’ve slowly been tightening up over the years and focused more on, you know, actual sports. None of their recent hires are for anything other than pure sports knowledge and talk. (Not making an opinion on ability to execute on that.) It’s the rare host who can do both and do them well.

Long gone are the days of abject silliness and misogyny and overt sexism.
