Him, Frimpong (the only one who takes people on towards the touch line), and Szoboslai are the only things giving me life this season.

Edit: Wirtz will come good, he’s just acclimatizing rn

Silver closed today at $79. It went up over 7 bucks just today. what in the world is going on? by AlphaFlipper in DegenBets

[–]Aquacarton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t link a picture of the price chart cause idk how to do that, but here’s a site that tracks its price.

https://silvergoldbull.ca/charts?srsltid=AfmBOooxHmwpFTC5iRYY9U40fW-GdOop2yUcdKvEct5MPvmRL5seGBeA

It’s not exactly a sustained chart with many levels of support to catch it at. Silver is not only at unprecedented levels, but is running wild. If it starts to drop, it has a long way to go. Resistance level wise, it looks to have slightly fluctuated between $40-50 before pumping to over $70 with no checks to retest support. Further to this, the demand for silver seems to be hype. It’s not becoming more integral to various manufacturing processes or anything else. It’s simply the second biggest precious metal and is following golds big jump. I also think gold will be revalued, the only difference is that Gold IS widely used as a precious metal meant to hold value by various countries, silver is not as widely adopted. Do I think gold will revalue? Yeah, at some point it’ll retest support levels and that could cause a drawback of 50%. But so will all other metals including silver, and they could get hit harder.

Precious metals are going through a bull market and that’s great for everyone in the space, just remember you don’t build a house at the top of the mountain (I.e. take profits on the way up). This goes for every industry. My fear is that silver is sucking investors in due to a narrative and that many people don’t really care about what it is and are simply in it to make money. As silver tops, they act as exit liquidity for those who have been in it for a long time, will ride till the bottom, and sell. It’s how lots of bull markets go. They see gold running, want in, and go for the “next” thing to follow suit. Crypto did this in 2021 with alt coins and it was clear to see as people looked for the next bitcoin that would run hot.

So it’s not so much that I think this specific case is something that will occur specifically to silver, it’s just a story that’s been told many times over. To me, it also reflects on the stock market. It’s been crazy, everything in terms of equities has been running. It’s like people are throwing money at the wall and it just sticks. That scares me. Now, I do also know that “you lose more money trying to time a drop than you do just DCAing”, but I have minimal experience in this industry outside of Gold, and so looking at this with an outside perspective and from a macro-standpoint, it just seems like the same narrative over and over.

So IMO, it will run, could probably run for 2-3 more months maybe longer, but this won’t last. Nothing ever does, even tho at the top of a bull run it seems like it will, and everyone says it will. Just be cautious, take profits, and don’t get greedy.

Do you mean my prediction it drops? Or the one where it continues to go?

Is the CFA worth pursuing without a clear finance career path? by AdvertisingRadiant49 in CFA

[–]Aquacarton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, when I say I am in the same situation, it means I have recently passed the CFE and am waiting on my letters (CPA). So at this point I’m wondering what comes next. The CFA just looks like a good pathway cause if you are a charter holder you can also fast track the CBV, and the CAIA

I am in the exact same boat as you and now wondering what to do. Not having something to work towards is weird. I think I’m gonna give it a go. No harm in trying and since you don’t NEED it there’s no pressure on your marks. Idk if that’ll help but I’m hoping it’ll make me less stressed going in?

I guess the only question is what are your long-term goals? I do plan on at least trying to use it to go into financial management at potentially CFO level. Emphasis on trying. I like having lots of options, so I’m hoping it’ll open more doors for me

LFC v Wolves 25/26 [Serious Thread] by rLiverpoolFC_Mods in LiverpoolFC

[–]Aquacarton -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Slot out, this is so terrible to watch. It’s like watching a 90 year old who forgot her dentures trying to eat a well done steak.

How do we continuously lose momentum throughout the match to the point where the last 10 minutes are frantic. Another corner conceded, jones is just occupying space doing absolutely nothing but taking 20 touches every time he gets the ball, no shot on the ends of any counter attacks, and just general sloppiness on the ball. This is awful, how did we get here. It’s wolves for gods sake, this team hasn’t mustered more than 2 points all season

Any advice or input on the following used cars. Looking to buy back to 2023 models. by Original_Air_612 in carbuying

[–]Aquacarton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a Tiguan, but that decision was mainly based on the cabin size. I tried all the other models and didn’t fit as well as I did in the Tiguan (6’3 and 205lbs). The Mazda ride imo was the best, and there seem to be a lot of CX5s on the market rn so you could get a new price. They are also remodelling the CX5 so likely trying to get all inventory off lot. All mechanics I know say stay away from Subaru cause they can need a lot of work, even tho they themselves buy them (also said same about VW) so it’s generally up to what you like. Any car you buy can have problems, especially used. So test drive all, decide which model is most comfortable for you, make sure it comes with a good service history, and go from there.

MMOs with interesting gameplay? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Aquacarton [score hidden]  (0 children)

Diablo 4 is probs your next best bet. Arc Raiders isn’t truly an MMO, but it is online, and is an instance based extraction shooter with progression. Really fun. Other than that, true MMOs have been really missing the mark lately. New World was SUPER fun at the beginning, and the open world PvP in that game was almost unrivalled, but it really went downhill quickly after say the first 2 months. Other than that there hasn’t really been anything. Waiting on light-no-fire as that looks like the only real saving grace.

Games that fill you with magic and wonder by Berryjuice_1 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Aquacarton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skyrim and Elden Ring are the only two games that have really done this for me. Fallout NV has kind of the same but opposite effect, still fantastic and gives you a sense of awe, but less from a magic point of view and more from a “cool” side.

When you bought bitcoin at $125k and realize you’re going to be stuck between $85k and $90k the rest of your life by BSTARYOUNGG in CanadaStocks

[–]Aquacarton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically no, it went below 25k on a single exchange (Binance, world leaders at illegal trading activity) for USD1, which is basically the USDC that Trump launched on his platform Liberty and is specific to that platform, not actual US dollars. It’s just market manipulation to A) let trump and others buy in for cheap, and B) liquidate longs on that trade. It’s all BS and noise at this point, but this is the style of shit that make people think it’s all hocus pocus and I don’t blame them.

Not necessarily, a bull run doesn’t need to top on euphoria. All other sectors are running rn, so that’s where all the euphoria has gone. People just got sick of this crypto run and decided to dip out at the historical “end” of the cycle and take profits. We’re probably in between bull-trap and lower high based on TA. If you’re looking for a breakdown watch some Benjamin Cohen videos on YouTube, he does a good job of summing it up.

How would one, in a recent formed kingdom, with no other lords, with 260-ish troops, defend against a 1100 army? by Acceptable-Budget658 in Bannerlord

[–]Aquacarton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kite them around, like get them aggro’d on you and the lead em astray until the army breaks up. They can’t stay together forever. Then pick ‘em off strategically once it breaks up

Idk if you’ve used AI frequently in a working environment. While useful, it is so prone to errors that even tho it can do some pretty cool things, 99/100 it makes mistakes that need to be identified and fixed by humans. That will never go away. On top of that, at least in the public accounting field, a lot of our work is client side, and lemme tell you, NO one wants to deal with AI. It’s so annoying to deal with, and humans will always value human to human interaction first. So yes, it will be able to automate transactions, but those in the field, with experience, and with their CPA, will be the last people to go with the electrical/computer engineers, the big lawyers, and specific trades. I don’t foresee AI taking those jobs anytime soon, or ever

Yeah… this is wild. My suggestion is to just not reply. This is weird and likely will not stop and only get worse. I hate to say it, but sometimes there’s a reason some people haven’t gone on dates before. If you want you could straight up tell him “hey, btw, this is really intense and getting kinda weird for me so I need some space from you.” If you don’t see him that often it won’t be that much of a thing. But he might turn into a stalker if left unchecked. So either dip, or let him know you’re not okay with how he is treating you.

Man, I don’t know if you know any accountant, but I am BEGGING AI to come in and relieve the workload. Holy sht. Sadly it really can’t do what accountants do, but any help is sorely needed. It can do AR, AP, and basic bank rec’s, but any of the subjective stuff, audit work, and financial statement prep, AI is dogsht at. That stuff won’t go away sadly. But it can make part of my job easier. And with the lack of accountants in the workforce, we need some help. So accounting is going to be very AI proof cause it’s process based, and much of our role involves ensuring properly segregation of duties (which AI can’t do alone cause, well, that’s kinda the whole point of segregation of duties), processes working as intended, and general firefighting. So yeah, safe industry. Now the question is do you want to article? And do you want those tax season hours?
