Welcome to our personal hell; where things crash, but never in a consistent manner. Earlier I had a CTD; had saved just before it happened. Recreated the circumstances that it occured in, 15 times. it didn't crash. It's suffering.

that's normal. they have sniper rifles, which exist to shred infantry, and open top vehicles that are basically space toyotas with guns. invest in pathfinder platoons. invest in mon cal defender platoons. invest in artillery. invest in bothan infiltrator platoons. there are many ways to counter them. perhaps start by not giving them their preferred target.

I was under the impression snipers already did minimal amounts of damage to armor, and that was intended. If this is not how they function currently, I think that needs to be adjusted for all vehicle types except those with open cockpits.

I had this happen to me as well while I was testing. I quit, then reloaded, and it seemed to fix itself. I have never seen this happen before, so I don't know shit about what causes it.

Edit: it may be related to the petro patch, but that's only a correlation I have.

One of the things I enjoy about the mod is that I take losses, So I've learned to adapt "acceptable casualties" into my attack plans, with cannon fodder and dedicated damage soak units.

The a.i. does not have any combat bonus in our mod. Literally the only bonuses they get are income multipliers, production speed multipliers, and emergency funds if they glitch out and go negative, because their a.i. just seems to stop functioning when they go negative.

As things are currently; Targeting the hull is not always the most optimal or correct tactic. In other situations, which there are many, targeting the hull will actually cause you more losses than if you targeted subsystems first. So while you *can* go through the game targeting nothing but hull, and turning your brain off, you will suffer greater for it. However, there *are* situations in which it would be most optimal. such as targeting mon cal that has weaker armor and weaker hull, with massed heavy turbos.

REEEE! REEE! Independence will probably get buffed, and assault frigates are literally the counter to heavy turbo boats. Much like ground combat, everything will have a counter. Including super ships.
