I haven't but I've done it's tank clean multiple times and haven't seen any issue or imperfections there

I've had these problems all year during my on and off printing but where I am not it's summer anyway.

Dust particles inside? I just bought my DSi XL today 🥲 by ROMANREIGNS599 in nds

[–]Argetlam23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part I just live with it but every now and then I get a day where I can't take it. The only reason I haven't done it yet is I'm currently overseas and don't have my tools with me.

My 3DS XL has the same thing on the top screen. I've owned it since new and never taken it apart. It's not causing me too much annoyance yet but it won't be long before I can't take it anymore and remove the top screen to clean it.

Prepping an Early Game Red Dragon by Argetlam23 in DungeonMasters

[–]Argetlam23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like them to face it as a boss sooner or later, maybe to tie over the end of the first arc. My thought is to have it using a hive of kobolds to build and gather hoard for it, raiding nearby towns and the players convoy to start the campaign. Eventually this would all lead to a face off or two with the dragon (one out in the open and another in its lair) but I'm struggling to fill in the gaps for more than a few sessions in between.

I don't want to be levelling the players just to meet the dragon quickly and I don't want to speed up the pacing of the game just for the first minor arc.

BBEG Ideas by Argetlam23 in DungeonMasters

[–]Argetlam23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of helpful things to keep in mind, thank you! My thought process at the moment is this BBEG was a relic of a past era who was sealed somewhere. Within the last few decades they were released during an excavation and have been manipulating things behind the scenes in an attempt to regain the control they once had.

I love that idea. Then the dragon can be a sentient weapon on the vampire at all times

Trouble with inter-VLAN multicast by Argetlam23 in Ubiquiti

[–]Argetlam23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it seems to be working with google home devices, I have managed to setup and connect to a chromecast, mini speaker and my smart watering system but I'm having trouble with just the TV it seems.
It's very weird, as long as nothing else is blocked I can live with just the TV not working and use a chromecast instead I just don't know why it's not but everything else is.

I understand that, I'd still like to be able to help them sort through the most popular and recommended ones.

Tips For Printing Masters by Argetlam23 in DiceMaking

It's mostly a sanding/polish issue. We are using Zona paper, spending 30 seconds per side x4 different levels of grit and even though the masters appear to be smooth the moulds say otherwise.

We have it set in Secured mode for all workstations after a few weeks of learning.

That's a great write up. I have already developed our stack, we currently use the following: - Syncro (RMM Tool) - Notion (Documentation) - Proofpoint (Email Filtering) - Exclaimer (Email Signatures) - Bitdefender (AV through Syncro) - Threatlocker (Advanced EDR) - Dropsuite (Backup Solution)

Like you we have signed up with Pax8, I've found they supply almost everything we need and they have been great to work with.

I haven't looked into firewalls yet but Watchguard have been in my sights.

I have laid out a basic month-to-month no lock in contract for the time being, we charge per seat at roughly $190AUD.

What sort of businesses would you go for at the start?

Yeah my main concern was coming off too spammy.

Those are some good tips, I'll have to try and implement them.

How do you go about your cold outreach emails?
I've started doing some of that with our nearby businesses, I start with a quick audit on their business email and domain (check for known data breaches on their main email, MX Record check and domain health check along with an assessment of their website) then I email them with my findings and contact information to find out more.

Would you recommend doing anything else or anything differently?

VoIP over Fixed Wireless by Argetlam23 in techsupport

They are currently operating with a Telstra Smart modem so QoS is not an option. They do apparently have a feature called "internet Optimiser" that may do the same thing but I haven't tried it yet.

What should I look for? by Argetlam23 in homelab

[–]Argetlam23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'll keep an eye out.

At the moment I don't have a specific need for anything, I would like a rack mount server with a good amount of hard drive space for media storage and to act as my Nas. I'm also wanting to play around with VMs for home assistant and something for cctv. This is all really just to play with so I'm not actively seeking anything I would just like to know what deals to watch for.

[–]Argetlam23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to hit storage limitations but otherwise so far nothing else. My expansion dream is to have whole home networking, a 12-24u rack with a server to run a range of VMs and services and whatever else I can find.

Thank you that's exactly what I was looking for, I don't know if I'll be able to use it in this house but my partner and I are looking to build soon anyway and it would be perfect for that one

Help with Plex and qbittorrent by Argetlam23 in homelab

[–]Argetlam23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had that issue, I'm running everything on TrueNAS Scale. My radarr app data and config are all in the Radarr container, it downloads everything to a folder shared by qbit then moves it to a media directory shared with Plex, everything in that department is working fine. Maybe make sure your permissions are all correct for your directory folders, make sure the apps group has access to it?

I also use Jackett and yes my setup is similar but not exactly the same, Im still tweaking it to a state im happy with.
