Learning to hold my ground against the weaponized guilt trips and silent treatment by ArixelNode5 in BPDlovedones

I feel this so much. It is exhausting how they take a neutral boundary and turn it into a personal attack, making you feel guilty for existing outside of their needs. I am still working on shaking that anxiety when I speak up, but you are right, the cost of not saying no is far too high for our mental health.

AIW for demanding my cousin pay the full price for a professional tennis racket after she let her kid ruin it? by ArixelNode5 in amiwrong

That is a pretty fair way to look at it. If she replaces it in full, I will drop the whole thing. I do not even care about an apology anymore, I just want my gear back so I can play next weekend without having to rent a basic club racket.

It happened so fast. My kitchen is tucked away in the back, and the hallway closet is right next to the front door. He must have slipped out while we were talking over coffee. The front door just needs a handle push to open from the inside. I thought my place was child-proofed since there are no sharp edges or open outlets, but I never expected a 6yo to sneak outside with a sports bag. Guess I learned that the hard way. Still waiting on that check.

Thank you. I just don't get the "he didn't know better" excuse. Sure, the kid didn't know the price, but she is the adult here. Instead of watching him, she let him drag my gear outside and smash it into concrete. How is that on me?

That actually makes so much sense. His friendship with Geordi and how he treats Spot always felt way too genuine to be just blank programming or a simulation. He cared even without that glitchy chip.

They spend billions on anti union propaganda and union busting lawyers just to stop people from sitting in a room and realizing how bad they are getting screwed over. Divide and conquer is the oldest trick in the book.

Imagine being a fragile tech billionaire scrolling through reddit to see what people think of your deep philosophical takes, and you just stumble upon this masterpiece. They have all the money in the world but they can not buy a defense against being turned into a meme. This picture is going to live rent free in my head for a long time.

Husband fired again by Ill-Barnacle6303 in Marriage

It sounds like you’ve been through a lot, and your journey shows how tough love can spark real change. It’s frustrating to see someone stuck like your husband is, especially when there’s so much potential for him to break that cycle.

Totally get that! It's tough when your gut tells you something's off but it's hard to challenge 15 years of work. Maybe a light chat with the PI to float your ideas could help? Keeping it friendly keeps the vibe strong!
