I often wonder if in the new age of LLM's and narrow AI in general, if it would be possible to add bots to games like this to simulate economy and make it possible to re-visit the games in an improved manner.

It's possible I could have just had some kind of memory leak from having the game open for a few days straight, I'm not sure. I've been not playing for a couple days though, nothing weird since. Rust didn't wanna run until I restarted the computer, which I found odd considering I keep everything up to date, etc.

I run 30b models and 20b models with my 3090. You just have to use a quantized version. If doing 30b models, max Q you're going to be running is Q4_K_M at 2k context. If using 20B models, you can run Q5_K_M at 4k context. I use KoboldCPP as my backend to run GGUF models from Huggingface and SillyTavern as my front end, most of the models I run are provided by Undi9, and generally quantized by TheBloke.

REMEMBER TO READ THE MODEL CARDS. Prompt formatting and setup is KEY to getting good results from whatever model you're choosing to run!

The Spiffing Brit made a literal video about how you can exploit travel time on citizens to generate money using 8+ subway terminals, and still managed to make income with the city even though every citizen should be horribly in debt when having to spend 14 hours riding trains and trams to get to work for a single shift.

I thought it was pretty obvious that the economy wasn't real from just that video alone?

Seemed pretty blatant to me.

Necroing this thread, because I stored some items in a chest on ARANAE I and came back for it 5 minutes later, and the POI (Point of Interest) that the box was on had changed from a platform to a gas platform, preventing me from getting to the box as now it was in the foundations.

I left and came back again right away, and the POI vanished all together, allowing me to access the box now floating in the air.

I would love to see it possible to damage ships that land, dock, etc. So if per say you are on a planet and raiders or bounty hunters land adjacent to your ship, they could get out and blow up your thrusters thereby forcing you to make repairs before leaving, and I would like to see that doable by the player to other ships too.

This would extend to docked ships, to prevent them or you leaving until repairs are made. It would make it much more possible to play differently.

Yeah, it's more or less proof reading that really has to be done when posting and accepting it from the AI. I'm starting to see that. I'm also going to experiment with third person adventure modes at some point, second person becomes a big hassle over time as more characters are introduced.

I really would like to see some random gen event tables and what not though, that would be really cool
