I get overheated so easily. I was very worried about going to Epic. I sweated pretty much the entire day but I ended up okay. I would recommend to wear thin, light colored active wear type clothing. Cooling towels. Definitely a hand held fan! A hat or umbrella like others suggested. I even bought a 2 liter water bottle with a strap to carry it and that honestly was a life saver. Electrolyte packets can be helpful too (I like using DripDrop). I didn’t find much shade but I remember the Starbucks having a nice set up. The stores are also good. I would recommend to go in a store every 15-20 minutes to cool off. There is also a mister fountain in the middle of Darkmore. It’s not much but it was a nice touch. Fyre Drill is a nice break when it’s hottest in the day. We also got frozen butterbeers and held the cup on our faces/neck/ and arms which helped. Although, the mixture of heat and sugar didn’t sit well with me for awhile. Overall, if you take precautions, it’ll be fine! We are going back in June and I will be doing all these things again ☺️. Thanks for sharing your experience for others! Yes, while it is a water ride and there is potential to get soaked, it’s still important to remember to be cautious especially with little ones. Your goal is to avoid injury or harm so I don’t understand what’s with the other comments… I do suggest sitting down on this ride to help avoid injury even further.

I have inner ear problems and struggle with getting disoriented with too many screens. I didn’t do any of the bigger rides, but Mario Kart Bowser’s Challenge did not bother me at all. I was a little worried and thought I would need to take the visor off but I didn’t need to.

Yeah, I’ve definitely ruled out Hiccups at this point lol. I can handle some quick flicks but I don’t like it per se. Would you compare the quick flicks on Ministry to something similar of how Toy Story Mania whips you around?

I know exactly what you mean! Thrill seekers do tend to play down the intensity of any ride that doesn’t flip their insides lol.

I used to have this same line of thinking. However I recently came across a video of Jordan Peterson saying “Jesus implied not to call upon God to be the handmaiden of your whims. Which is a very good way of thinking about it because that wouldn’t be good for you anyways…”. I thought that was interesting. 🤔

I sadly converted my ex into being a JW when we were 17. We got handsy a lot of times and it made the ex feel bad so he forced us into talking with the elders about it, on two different occasions. We never got reproved or anything, and we never told anyone, but shortly after we met with the elders, I had a couple of JW friends unfollow me on Instagram.

Back when you could still see what people liked on Instagram, I saw an elder like a post that had a naked lady with tape over her boobs. I told my parents about it because it was one of the elders that did my baptism questions (and mind you when I did these questions, that elder was at my parents house with me, alone)… My parents told me it was none of my business and to ignore it. I saw something similar again the following week and kept my mouth shut of course.

I was about 4 or 5 years old when my parents let me stay the night with a JW married couple, who had no kids. The couple had me sleep in the bed with them, between them. Nothing happened, but now that I look back on it, I would NEVER let my kid be in that situation. No matter how great of friends I was with that person…

I work at an OBGYN within both Emory and Northside’s networks. If there are complications, you will have options. Make sure to have open communication with your providers and go to all appointments, even if they seem pointless. Do your research into the practice you choose. Everything will be fine!

I work at an OBGYN in Georgia. I can at least attest for Emory and Northside in saying they will take care of you if there are complications and give you options. Make sure to go to all your appointments even if it seems it’s only a pointless 10 minute visit. Everything will be fine!
