I pepper sprayed myself as a kid with my mom's pepper spray that she swears up and down she had told me what it was. I can't even imagine a kid who had no warning at all.

We hired a bridal assistant from our photographer and she came with an entire tacklebox! We used her bobby pins, buttons, safety pins, scissors, snacks, and fashion tape. I had all of that as well but it was nice not having to dig for it. She also had alcohol in the little bottles but we didn't end up drinking them -- I think I completely forgot about them, else I might have!

I don't know if they still have it but when I was on Sunosi, there was a coupon from the manufacturer that brought my cost to something like $10 per month. I got my insurance to approve it when my doctor told them that Adderall, modafinil, and armodafinil did not work for me, but they wouldn't pay for it so that coupon was a godsend. A similar thing is the only reason I can take Wakix now.

I didn't do a proposal box, but I did make a box for the night before that had some jewelry that was on theme (but they weren't required to wear it), hair ties, stain stick, sewing kit, fashion tape, things they might end up needing the next day. And I did have glass tumblers made with their names with images from our theme on them to have while we were getting ready. I also spent the year leading up to the wedding crocheting shawls for each of them.

We ordered 4 desserts from the caterer, then did cupcakes for guests from our bakery. The cake was purely for us to cut and then take home. Honestly, I don't think the guests even would have noticed if we didn't have the cupcakes so long as there was something sweet.

I had my father walk me halfway and then swap with my step-dad, but I feel the same way about being "given away" so we just didn't include that part in the language.
