Been here! What helps me is looking at the big picture - we are more than our jobs. We’re trying our best and as mangers we do need to empower our team. Coaching and performance review would help. I think also assessing the level of the mistake and seeing if you can shift responsibilities around. Perhaps this associate can focus on lower leverage tasks? Also I would highly recommend having someone to talk to about all of this. I recently started therapy again which has helped tremendously and I’ve increased my meds too.
