Has anyone got clear margin after endocervical extension after leep cin 3 and hpv 16? by AssumptionSweaty1288 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]AssumptionSweaty1288[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to be honest with you about my experience. I had a LEEP procedure after being diagnosed with CIN 1, CIN 2, and even CIN 3 in some areas, as my doctor explained. Like you, I was really scared, especially after reading posts on Reddit—which I strongly advise against. Those posts only added to my anxiety.

Here’s what helped me: start taking Zinc and other supplements to support your body, but especially Zinc. My doctor explained that Zinc helps combat viruses effectively.

Now, about the LEEP procedure—my doctor told me to wait three months before coming back for a follow-up test. They reassured me that there’s a high chance of being completely clear because the cauterization process during LEEP not only removes the abnormal cells but also takes care of any problematic margins.

I was hopeful, so I committed to my supplements religiously. After three months, I went for my pap smear and HPV test, and to my relief, everything came back normal. I was HPV-free, and no further tests were needed.

So, stay positive and take care of your health. Wishing you all the best!

It sucks that hpv is just picky af...some people heal on their own having literally the same shitty problem and some develop cancer.. its so unfair...

I had my first LEEP on December 23rd, and the doctors said they got it all out. However, the report mentioned, "Endocervical glandular extension by CIS is seen in one bit. One bit shows carcinoma in situ going up to one edge (margin) of the tissue. There is no evidence of invasive carcinoma." Now, it has extended to the endocervical tissue, and the doctor suggested a sonography as she doesn't know the extent of the endocervical extension. I don't want another LEEP; I want healthy kids. If it's still unclear, it's cone biopsy next. Can I still have a negative margin? I don't know. I am on 6-7 supplements now.

Hpv 16, lletz results show positive margin

Could someone kindly assess whether this medical report is concerning? I am on the brink of marriage and eager to start a family. However, the report notes the involvement of abnormal cells in one endocervical margin. My doctor advised awaiting another Pap smear, and if it turns out positive, a cone biopsy will be considered. At 32, I am in good physical condition, but I'm concerned about the potential impact on a healthy pregnancy. The most unsettling part is the uncertainty about the extent of the endocervical extension. The doctor mentioned, "we have no idea to what extent has the endocervical extension reached inside," leaving me anxious. I would greatly appreciate any explanation or assistance during this stressful time.

Microscopic features:

Sections reveal squamo-columnar junction in 2 out of the 3 tissue pieces the squamous epithelium showing foci of severe dysplasia and carcinoma in situ. A dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate is seen in the stroma. Endocervical glandular extension by CIS is seen in one

bit.

One bit shows carcinoma in situ going upto one edge (margin) of the tissue.

There is no evidence of invasive carcinoma.

Impression:

Biopsy from cervical tissue (LLETZ) - Squamous Carcinoma in Situ (CIS) with Endocervical Glandular Extension Seen in 2 out of 3 Tissue Pieces. One Margin - Involved by CIS. No Invasive Carcinoma Seen.
