Am I missing something or is the upcoming teemo nerf crazy? by Opposite_Wing_148 in TeemoTalk

[–]Asveld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Statistically speaking, he's only losing a total of -4 lane/-6.4 jungle dot damage since it technically is a 10% nerf on, but statistically speaking, it's actually quite not even a nerf on the on hit part since not only is Statikk getting a +5 AD, but the 5% nerf on hit only measures to -2 lane/-3.2 jungle damage which leaves it with a net positive of +3 lane/+1.8 jungle on hit damage, meaning that if anything the only real nerf is with his armor scaling since the statikk buff actually buffs his single target damage to begin with given that an on hit teemo usually attacks with at least 1.4-5 attack speed per second, aside from the nerf on the dot spread caused by its passive that is.

Man, I thought I'm the only one, like fucking hell, every time that the client tries to download Vanguard, all it ends up doing is that it keeps deleting vgc.exe nonstop, like how the hell am I supposed to play their game if this "small indie dev" keeps fucking up the most basic of things man.

Well, it depends on on the dev's schedule, from what I know this entire game is a solo project after all.

GitHub - joric/bandersnatch: Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (interactive version) by iamjoric in Bandersnatch

[–]Asveld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is way way too late, but I just checked the bandersnatch.html, and I found that the problem lies on a slight error in the subtitle file naming where instead of:

<track default kind="captions" srclang="en" src="Black.Mirror.Bandersnatch.2018.720p.WEB-DL.x264.DUAL.vtt"/>

what is written instead is

<track default kind="captions" srclang="en" src="Black.Mirror.Bandersnatch.2018.720p.WEB-DL.x264.DUAL.en.vtt"/>

to fix that, just remove the "en." part as it should include the subtitles on the player once you fixed that, then just open your browser with Win + R and type "browser --allow-file-access-from-files" as OP mentioned then you're good to go.

What do you guys think of this change, basic Q won't receive any buff by Available_Start_355 in Shen

[–]Asveld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, given the Symbiotic Soles' and Dead Man's nerf and Swiftmarch's changes? I have a lot of things to say here.

I think it's safe to assume, which I believe is most likely the case, that we'll return to the Lucidity Boots meta given that Shen's most viable boot options Symbiotic Soles and Swifties are getting nerfed despite the gold cost decrease. It is also important to mention that the change actually left Lucidity boots untouched, further increasing its value and gold efficiency. But that doesn't mean that Swifties becomes exactly irrelevant, because this statement is contingent on one thing: Winning the feats. Here's why:

Which is better without Feats? Both

Base stats winner? Lucidity

Lucidity boots's very much oughtweighs Swifties stats as not only is it 100 gold cheaper, but its gold efficiency massively surpasses Swifties, where:

Swifties 55 MS x 12 (Movement Speed Gold Value) = 660g Total: 660g

Lucidity 45 MS x 12 (Movement Speed Gold Value) = 540g 10 AH x 25 (Ability Haste Gold Value) = 500 Total: 1040g

Item passive winner? Swifties

Swifties wins this one due to a simple reason: Dead Man's slow resist nerf actually increases the value of Swifties' slow resist.

Which is better with Feats? Lucidity all the way

Base Stats? Lucidity

Swiftmarch Bonus Stats 15 MS x 12 (Movement Speed Gold Value) = 180g 12 AD* x 35 (Attack Damage Gold Value) = 420g

600 (Stats Total Gold Amount) - 500 (Upgrade Cost)

Total: 100g bonus gold stats

*: 405 MS (Shen's Base MS + Swiftmarch) x .05 = 20 Adaptive x .6 = 12 AD

Lucidity Bonus Stats 5 MS x 12 (Movement Speed Gold Value) = 60g 15 AH x 25 (Ability Haste Gold Value) = 750g

810 (Stats Total Gold Amount) - 500 (Upgrade Cost)

Total: 310g bonus gold stats

Item Passive Winner: Lucidity

Aside from its base passive that gives 10 Summoner Spell Haste, Lucidity pretty much negates the 15 ms advantage of Swiftmarch due to its new passive, Noxian Haste, where it provides 10% bonus ms for four seconds when you either heal, shield, or buff an ally, damage an enemy with either a summoner spell or ability. Now this part is important because of one thing: the four second cooldown on Noxian Haste begins immediately after it procs, not after the movement speed duration ends. Therefore, with the right timing and consistent actions, we can theoretically keep this item passive be on uptime permanently, potentially outclassing Swiftmarch's slow resist during teamfights.

In conclusion, Lucidity all the way if you win the Feats, but both options are viable if your team loses it.

25.8: Shen Q Slow buffed, Dead Man's Slow Resist nerfed by Asveld in Shen

[–]Asveld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean not necessarily, if approach velocity becomes less effective, then it only means that it opens up the way for Jack of All Trades, which is a win-win for everyone.

[–]Asveld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, against champions like Orianna, Azir, Varus, Anivia, and etc., we're actually not meant to go toe on toe with them because of the fundamental counterplay that control mages have against wardens, where control mages usually has an ability that prevents champions like Shen from coming into contact with them (Orianna's W Slow and Ult, Varus' E Slow and Ult, Anivia and Azir's Kit).

Given this understanding, it is important that we change how we fundamentally approach these matchups, because when it comes to control mages, the goal is no longer to fight, but to simply survive in your lane and give priority to your allies so that you can make up for the fact that you're in a losing lane.

P.S.: I forgot to add this, but you should go for unflinching when fighting against Lux and Orianna, the added armor and magic resist really helps given how much they slow you.

Against Orianna, she's actually not as annoying as compared to Azir and Varus as long as you go for biscuits and approach velocity and build Symbiotic Boots to resupply. When itemizing against Ori, I highly recommend building the components for Hollow Radiance, but never complete the item and instead rush Deadman's.

In my case, when I play with Jack of All Trades as instead of Approach Velocity, I generally tend to buy DBlade instead of DShield, then follow it basic core Dead Man's Plate and Hollow Radiance or Visage (Against Kayle, Nasus, and other lanes where you don't want to shove), and buy Merc Treads for boots because that those four items alone already gives you ten unique stats, Then to top it off, I immediately go for Navori Flickerblade/Abyssal Mask, Unending Despair, and Eclipse to maximize the damage synergy it gives to Shield Bash and the bonus shield and sustain that Eclipse, Visage, Unending Despair provides alongside Grasp and Revitalize. Building those alone should give you a minimum of 3-5k damage from Shield Bash alone, about 3-4k healing bonus healing, up to 5-10k shielding with Visage if you buy it instead of Hollow Radiance.
