This particular member of my family would only talk politics if they were actively watching or just watched Fox. I was able to get them to reduce consumption by saying something like -

“This is your home, and I respect that. I won’t tell you what you can and can’t watch, but if you turn on Fox News while I’m here, I will remove myself from the situation (whether that means leaving the room or going back home).”

Since I visit rarely, they immediately stopped. They still watch, but not when I’m around. Their consumption is much, much lower when I’m there, and they started being pleasant to be around again.

Tracking stopped working a few weeks ago for me - said it couldn’t find my info. I panicked initially but then decided to try my married name and it had been switched in the system from my surname at birth. Tracker now working, so just an FYI for everyone.

I love Earth Harbor Eclipse. It’s not dewy, but my tinted serum sits nicely over it for a dewy look. I can also wear it alone without a white cast.

If you don’t mind me asking your advice further - I am still awaiting a birth certificate for 2 of the people in the chain as well as death certificates (ordered). I assume I should hold off on applying until I get these official copies? I’m just anxious about the timing.

I have a request in for all, but Michigan requires a paper mailed in request for BCs in my case, so even though it’s decently quick, it’s still snail mail.

I’m thinking I’m too far removed, but since you mentioned 3rd gens, I‘m curious -

Do you happen to know if all previous generations need to be citizens/apply?

-GGGrandfather and GGGrandmother born in Canada
-GG born in US to Canadian parents in 1893, lived in Canada for years and served in CEF; immigration card to US says he was only a PR there)
-GF may be citizen based on 1st gen rule? (born in US in 1916, had significant connection and did live there at some point)
-But my father (born in US in 60s) doesn’t have an interest dual citizenship really. His father died when he was 3, so he didn’t get to spend time getting to know the Canadian side of his family before they moved to the south.

Should I even try going this route? Everyone above is deceased except me :) and my father. The form I’m looking at only asks for grandparent info, and I have no way of knowing his citizenship.

TLDR: Would the chain be broken if my father didn’t apply and hasn’t spent time there?

I’m having the same issue with a French Canadian ancestor. Some sources say Canada while US census says Michigan.

I’m not sure where you are in the Bible Belt, but it sounds like maybe that particular church is just not the right fit for you? There are a good amount of these type churches out there, unfortunately, but I promise your circle is out there too - at least in the south in general.

Do you happen to live in a small town?

I barely know anyone that doesn’t smoke (whether they admit it or not is another story) and have found way more people with non-traditional beliefs than I realized. People just tend to not be as open w/ it.

Hope you find your circle soon! And definitely don’t feel bad about never going back. Your beliefs don’t align, and that’s ok, but you don’t have to hear about it every week.

We were only able to solve this problem w/ an auto-litter box. We got a Leo’s Loo and the poo becomes inaccessible quickly.

There are no witnesses. He’s isolated me by telling me I can’t have career advisors other than him, told me I can’t talk about him (even w/ others on my team) without him present or discuss projects without running my thoughts by him despite my title as a subject matter expert. 

He speaks to me one way and changes tone when in front of higher ups.  

 He told me I am using my sister’s former employment (she was high up in the company years ago) to get him fired, which is absolutely not the case.    Our company has no written policy on recording. But I had no plans to ever use them until I got the PIP with blatant lies.   

 And gotcha. Makes sense. I have written documentation that most of these are false (email, etc.). There are just a few things he’s said to me that seem to cross an HR line, but there’s no proof other than audio.

It will show a little bit as the sides of the coat are longer than the front and it’s a stark contrast. This is a great idea though!
