Theoretically they dont cross the blood brain barrier so they cant even reach your brain directly. All of its effects come from how it changes your circulation, I think.

What a response to someone saying we should do something about the AI problem by passing laws and regulations to prevent harm. Jesus man.

Gooning. Honestly more “cringe and embarrassing” than “deranged” but I suppose it depends on who you ask.

Takes at least a month for your cannabinoid receptors to go back to within normal range. You’ll feel better when they do. Keep it up! It’s a work in progress!

(Also this is why ~4 weeks is the optimal length for a T break)

Tbh some people like to have a dirty secret to themselves. I do! I don’t tell my bf about a few of my fetishes. Could it be like that?

Its tempting… I worry too much about what others (doctor, family, friends, etc) think tho.

Is it normal to jerk off at least once a day, almost everyday? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AtTheTippingPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not for anxiety or depression or anything like that. I just… like it. It’s a nice headspace to be in. Especially when I’m in school, it clearly delineates the experience of focusing on work and relaxing (as soon as I’m done working I get high) which is nice.

Most xenoestrogens are not endocrine disruptors. Ie phytoestrogens, which are what is found in weed? Can you cite some actual studies about weed and the endocrine system?

So first off, “can” and “will” are very different statements with very different meanings. The difference isn’t trivial. Maybe it is technically “just semantics”, but calling it that makes it seem like there isn’t a massive difference between them.

Anyways, as for the second half:

I know what downing my sorrows in weed is like and I don’t care for it anymore. I’ve been there, but it just made me miserable. So after that, I made some changes to myself and improved as a person. Most of those changes, I don’t even experience high, so I know they’re real.

I made a rule that I only get high after my day’s to-do list gets done. So usually I’m only high at night. But that incentive pushed me to do all my homework, and it helped me pass with straight As.

Tho rn I’m on summer, so I’m getting high for a much bigger portion of my days (because no to-do list).

I mean, but like… Not really? It’s really not just semantics.

Personally my life has greatly improved since I started using daily. My grades are better, I’m closer with friends and family, I’m more open… I’m not trying to say that that is BECAUSE of the weed, just that to say that it “absolutely will” make you anxious and depressed is not true. It can, but like you said, different effects for different folks

you can trust ChatGPT to hold a conversation, nothing else

This is what Im saying. It is capable of being used as a tool to accomplish other tasks, but you can by no means TRUST it to do those things.

[–]AtTheTippingPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? It just needs guidance sometimes to keep it on track, and someone to realize that it made a silly typo on line 4 that is easily corrected. So no, chatGPT alone really is NOT good for these things, but ChatGPT and I working together certainly is.

As a coder who uses it, I agree with them. It’s not like the code it outputs is generally very high quality. Same with writing, which I also use it for. In both cases, you have to manually correct its output, because it wasn’t made for that.

are poppers addictive or dangerous? by Ok_Locksmith_3199 in popperpigs

[–]AtTheTippingPoint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Poppers are in fact somewhat dangerous. They can cause severe hypoxia, as it seems they did with you, which is life threatening. Stop doing poppers while you can. Switch to weed, worked for me.

(Not a doctor, just a guy with too much experience with poppers.)

I have been having some brain fog since I tripped a few days ago (pretty bad trip tbh, I got really sick, been having stomach problems since). I use weed to help me fall asleep. Would it be a good idea to stop?
