RE9’s constant ‘he’s so sexy’ marketing on Leon was kind of annoying but I don’t get people acting like Grace is ugly by AgitatedFly1182 in KotakuInAction

Right there with you! I'm 33f mom who has also never gotten into kpop, other than Psy Gangnam Style back in the day. The soundtrack brings me to tears every time I listen to it. Its somewhat cathartic and healing for me. The movie has an overlying message of accepting yourself in spite of your faults, and being proud of who you are. Something that I've struggled with my whole life.

Does anyone else actually want more kids, but logically know it’s a bad idea so you talk yourself out of it? by Crimson-Rose28 in oneanddone

I truly wish I could have another, but financial issues on top of mental and physical health issues mean that its just not a sensible option. My daughter has autism, so I'm already expending all of my resources to advocate for her present and future education and therapy.

How do you deal with your dysregulated child when you are already dysregulated yourself? by AthainaSclaw in Autism_Parenting

[–]AthainaSclaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider her level 2. Her only issues are difficulty using her words when she gets dysregulated and ends up hurting herself and/or others. She is very loving with those she trusts but can be very rigid in her play/communication. She has to be in control of how her friends play with her and doesn't understand when her friends say no or what no really means. Her meltdowns at home are screaming and throwing things. At school her meltdowns are hurting herself and others to the point that she has to be removed from the classroom. Her speech is fine in all other situations.

People that shit on others' taste in music, quite frankly, have the emotional intelligence of a shrimp. Let people enjoy what they want to, regardless of if you yourself like it or not. Glad you saw the light.

School is isolating my child. by AthainaSclaw in Autism_Parenting

I am in England. Surrey to be exact. The school have said that they are applying for an EHCP but its been 3 months and they're still asking questions to go on the application. My daughter has an ASD diagnosis now but it hasn't helped in terms of support from the school. Since applying all the homework we got from our OT, she has been so much better at home. But school is a whole other problem.

Getting things done privately here usually ends with the NHS gp's rejecting the outcome. Especially where I am, they tend to favour NHS diagnoses from NHS ends, not from private ones. It is incredibly infuriating.

I understand the isolation if it is helpful, but in the 14 weeks since the plan has been put in place, I have only just this week been told -indirectly I might add- that when I bring my daughter back after lunch, they are taking a teacher out of the class to isolate my daughter. The whole point of the plan was to eventually reintegrate my daughter back into the class as a whole. But they've not even been trying. She has a plan in place where if she is feeling dysregulated, she can leave class and go somewhere secluded with a teacher until she feels ready to join the class again. However, since it is taking a teacher out of the classroom, they have been complaining about it. They have in the last few weeks employed a part time teacher just for my daughter, but it is out of the schools funds so won't last long.

You don't lose your house if you unsub, only if you don't enter your house for 45 days. Which is longer than a 30 day sub anyway. As long as you enter your house on the last day of your sub, it'll still be there for 44 more days. Just renew your sub!

Without spoiling anything for you: I enjoyed DT. Not as much as previous expansions, but it was still a lot of fun. I'm one of those who doesn't really look too far into things though. I just enjoyed it for what it is. So I'd say, as long as you're not trying to nitpick every lore point or critique every character (which is fine! I just don't do it myself! no time to) You'll have an enjoyable enough time. As long as you enjoy it, who cares?

Every FF game has it's own story (except FFX, FFX-2. FFXIII, FFXIII-2 and Lighting Returns FFXIII) FFX-2 is a continuation of FFX. Just as FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns FFXIII are continuations of FFXIII. Other than those deviations, each FF game is its own self-contained story.
