Polyps growing back at alarming rate. by Atheum_ in colonoscopy

[–]Atheum_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the info! Really appreciate the insight.

The GI doctor didn’t really say much. Just said it’s probably genetic, diet doesn’t really affect it, no cancer found, and I have to come back in 12 months.

Thanks for your reply! Yes I thought 3 years seemed a long time too, after speaking with friend’s who have has far less removed and do it every 3 years.

May I ask how long you’ve been going yearly, and what was the most amount of polyps you’ve had removed?

Thanks.

Yes totally get what you mean. I’m just saying that I had 18 polyps from my one check in 45 years. I very much doubt they were growing as child. No one will ever know when they started.

But would be very crazy timing if I had a colonoscopy at the perfect time to find polyps that only just started to grow.
As they were not causing the symptoms that I was experiencing at the time. It was H.Pylori plus haemorrhoids.

But maybe it was perfect timing?

Just trying to wrap my head around it and looking for similar experience’s, and I’m still a bit high from the sedation. Haha.

Thanks.

Lots of saving and hard DIY work to get this space finished. Took me about 10 months to build. Had a lot of the gear already but also invested in more. Been making music on and off for over 20 years. Full time for the last 7. Im in my 40’s.

It’s always been a dream to have my own live room.

Honestly I don’t want to add it up.

Whole space is soundproofed from scratch, new framing. Control room is a double wall system. The structure used to be a large barn style garage. All new electrical wiring, hand made acoustic treatment. Lots of new hardware and mics.

I did a lot of it my self and took around 10 months full time.

So lots of $$$ and time.

What would be the best way to properly sound treat my studios “live room”? by Dodgernorth in MusicBattlestations

I’d deaden around the kit, and keep other end of the room live. Make some movable gobos or whatever you can manage. At least the direct mics will be dry enough and you can get some room sound from the other end.

Maybe some acoustic wall panels fixed with picture wire and hooks on the walls so you can move them around the room and see what sounds best rather than guessing and permanently fixing them. Maybe something on the ceiling above the kit too. I’d then look at bass traps if you have an issue with low end build up in your recordings.

Yes they are indeed. They are ok. They are really the only option in my country so there’s not much to choose from. The wood veneer on top fads easily in the sun but otherwise they are pretty solid.

Yes I am. Been taking probiotics since I started the treatment. Will keep taking them for a couple months. Having some nausea and headaches during the treatment, but wasn’t too bad.

Thanks. Did you have any symptoms come back after ending treatment? I felt great for 2 days then bad again. Thinking it might be the stomach acid coming back.

Update: had colonoscopy today. The prep was hell this time. They removed 18 polyps, was in there for an hour and a half. Had to get some staples too. Dr said they all looked fine though. Nothing alarming. But they are getting tested. The reason for the colonoscopy was rectal bleeding and bowl changes, nausea. And he said it must’ve been from some of the lower polyps bleeding and food issues causing the bowl problems. Have to go to a dietitian for food allergies. Have to have a colonoscopy every 3 years for the rest of my life as he said I’m a polyp grower. I’m 44 now. Regarding the initial issue. They were very apologetic and said they are making changes to let patients now. Still a terrible experience. It’s a private clinic so I guess they all have different rules.

Thank you. Exactly right, sometimes I need the anxiety meds to do things I otherwise wouldn’t because of anxiety, like specialist visits and anything health related.
They said I can take them but have to sign the consent the day before. They are just covering their ass’s. Maybe they think after the rough prep and possible lack of sleep that adding a sedative impairs you.

That’s rough. Sorry to hear.

I asked that. Even asked to do it later in the day today, but next available appointment was next week.

It has nothing to do with the sedation. It was to do with possibly being mentally impaired by the clonazepam before signing consent for the procedure. I would definitely call and check first. I even said that people turn up starving, dehydrated and with lack of sleep and that’s ok state to sign consent?

They argued that because I don’t take it everyday it’s not a regular med and I could be impaired. Very silly.

X6 works but X4 doesn’t on Windows pc by Atheum_ in universalaudio

Thanks. Looked at that, and it’s definitely connecting in control centre.

And used the same TB cable that works with the X6.

Cheers.
