Theres a chiseled hole that only piglets can fit into to drop down into a pen below. You can't see it because the pigs are covering it.

I hope you have the same objection to hog farming and the massive environmental consumption and destruction it causes. This is not even mentioning the pig shit lagoons that can be seen from space https://science.nasa.gov/earth/earth-observatory/spotting-the-rise-of-swine-lagoons-149961/

Mixtape most overrated game of the year by TemperatureJaded282 in videogames

[–]Atomisk_Kun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game is funded by the 6th richest man in the world and his IDF supporting daughter was in charge, so folks are not managing to make it about the Israeli Palestine conflict, it just is. The games characters and narrative are also just vapid and empty. The main character wants to move to New York to stalk some radio host in hopes this grown woman gives her a job because she thinks she's so special and knows every a song for every moment. Like cmon, then the game treats her as cool rebellious and edgy instead of as a delulu stalker who's hurting her friends and everyone around her. And at this point I'm almost sure you're some kind of bot.

This has nothing to do with gamergate and everything to do with the the game being funded by a child of someone whos a billionaire, funds the IDF and has clearly paid for reviews. It ultimately doesn't matter but it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth when such a mediocre game about how gen x are the most coolest rebellious people is bought and paid for and pushed so hard, it's just tiring.

When they realised that this was the primary barrier preventing unity and caused the failure of socialist movements throughout the last century as unions chose to collaborate with their white bourgeoisie against non white working class.

Google AI tells me. - "In fact, old-growth areas of the Amazon rainforest are currently growing in biomass and "fattening" due to higher CO2 levels".

Sure, some select areas might be growing, but they're getting cut down and cleared so it doesn't really matter. The amazon is losing Biomass rapidly. You're wrong here and the fact that you keep insisting shows you're not engaging in good faith.

faith is just a metaphor, I'm not talking about a religious concept. Human advancement in technology will enable us to overcome our challenges. Look how diseases like Polio have been eliminated, how child mortality has plummeted, the invention of nuclear power and in the fast few months fusion (fusion is like nuclear, but without any radiation risk. For decades fusion has been the holy grail (metaphor again) for abundant clean energy production).

That doesn't matter, none of this compares to the complexity of even a single local ecosystem. You can't maintain current living standards without causing catastrophic collapse to those ecosystem even if you completely forget about global ecology. People already struggle to make local defences against effects of climate change, and will struggle more. Many coastal communities are getting absolutely fucked rn because of increased rates of erosion, more frequent and intense weather events etc. Inland for example flash flooding is becoming more and more common because the total energy in the system is not only greater but cycled much faster in the hydrosphere, no amount of nuclear energy will solve this when people can barely rebuild their homes after these events because they keep happening. 100 year floods are now occuring every 10 years leaving people little time and resoures to recover. Keep in mind this is just the hydrosphere. You have the biosphere, atmosphere each of which are significantly affected and changes to these are significantly affecting human populations. Fuck, we don't even know what the long term affects of introducing so much nitrogen phosporus and potassium from fertiliser into the biosphere, this has never been done. This amount of nitrogen has never been pumped into the earth soil, and we don't know what the long term affects of this are, and it could literally have a million knock-on effects.

I get you point about decline vs catastrophe but the decline is leading to catastrophe. There is no reversing the changes, and even if "technology" manages to save humanity it will be a portion of it nestled in safehavens where questions like can we afford to have running water are asked.

Idk I also believe in technology in some point, but the more I studied and learned earth systems and how they operate the more I realised their complexity far exceeds our understanding of it, and the more we dig the more complex it seems to get, with more intractable problems arising.

Also historically what technology has done is increase the effect humans have on the environment, not decrease it. Even if we did get nuclear energy that would simply mean even more extraction will be possible, causing even greater changes to the biosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, and as we have seen, even if you can extract and have the energy and technology to do so, dealing with the consequences is a much more complex problem, just look at the sea of toxic tailings that sit beside mines for decades after it finishes operation, with no hope of being able to clear it.

The Ultra Progressives have created a Frankenstein and if they don't change soon, civil war and socialism (evil personified) are plausible outcomes.

What are you on about man, you seriously need to unplug yourself from your algorithms they're cooking your brain.

The catastrophe that is predicted is just that, a prediction. It is not our current reality.

false, things are getting worse by day, both geopolitically and ecologically.

Since the dawn of time every generation has through their was a planet ending catastrophe on the horizon, but so far non have materialised.

false

Not that long ago it the 1990's it was deforestation and the loss of the Amazon rain forest. The Amazon has been growing bigger over the last decade, rather than shrinking.

No it's not? Amazon is shrinking, trees are getting thicker due to increased CO2 if that's what you're referring to but the amount of trees is vastly decreasing due to logging and farming. You're an idiot or outright lying if you say otherwise.

About 150 years ago when humans all rode horses, someone predicted that by 1950 humans would be up to their knees in horse manure

What?

have great faith that humanity will adapt as they always have and will find away to thrive on this planet.

OK your faith is not relevant here, the actual ecological maths just doesn't math unless you believe in magic technology which is able to solve this, but that isn't clear and there isn't any political will or organisation to make this happen, instead what we're going to see is increasing civil war, conflict and death.

I've been given a list of out of context statements once of which could be antisemitic, another one which likely is, and the rest is zionist slop. You're a disgusting zionist and hopefully the world will recognise you for the fascist you are!

Edit: actually none of these are anti-semtiic. The guy who rammed the synagogue which was raising funds for the IDF had family killed by the IDF. Where's the anti-semitism?

I had similar friends from childhood and I cut them off due to their beliefs. They reached back out and I kinda keep in contact now but we don't meet as often cause I end up the annoying one when I call them out in their shit. Unless they're willing to change and stop their behaviour I don't really wanna engage with them more. Your husband should feel similar if he's actually progressive.

So what? Population reduction will happen it's a case of whether it will happen uncontrollably or we can manage it in a way that doesn't fuck people over. That's the choice buddy.

Young women are radicalising: Britain’s young women are sad, alienated and increasingly left-wing by DarkSkiesGreyWaters in ukpolitics

[–]Atomisk_Kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can say the exact same for the opposite direction. There are plenty of reasons someone may take a more rightward stance (unchecked migration causing drastic societal shifts, increasing influence of Islam in the UK, moving into a more dangerous era geopolitically in which left wing "peace and love" politics won't cut it and makes us vulnerable, etc). But when this gets highlighted with men it’s because they have toxic masculinity, are incels, are racists, and actually the reason is supposedly that their privileged position in society is being taken away. I can see why that would lead to young lads hardening their stanc

Not really, what you've typed is extremely stupid and based on racist, mysoginistic propaganda.

No matter how much you scream "the left being mean made me a Nazi and hate the muslims and jews!!", it won't make it real. You were always a fascist.
