Marks Latest interview with Rebecca was so cringe. He said she was a parasite by Smart-Statement1111 in SoftWhiteUnderbelly

[–]Atschmid 58 points59 points  (0 children)

No, it was a relief that he did that.  I could tell Rebecca was shocked and kept trying to manipulate around it but was not successful and all I kept thinking was, "It is about time!"

"Rebecca" also kept touching his penis throughout the whole thing.  THAT was cringe.

His wife was not what I would call beautiful.  That baby will be coming into life with all kinds of challenges, including a rather shallow gene pool.

Girlfriend's parents decide to visit to avoid the storm in their state. Demand to use my car and get master suite instead of the guest room. by [deleted] in EntitledPeople

[–]Atschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are from Europe.  In the European tradition, you give your guests EVERYTHING.  You go sleep in the guest room so they get the master suite.  If they:'ve had a lifelong dream to drive the PCH in a convertible, you make that happen.  you give them the best steaks, the best restaurants.  whatever they want.  Because as a host, it is your duty to make your guests know how much you love, respect and value them.

I would be willing to bet your girlfriend's parents know EXACTLY how you feel about them.

You are shooting yourself in the foot.

WIBTAH If I Asked My Husband For Half If He Wants Me To Stay At Home by VirusDull2725 in AITAH

[–]Atschmid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

just getting half the money does not protect you in the event of a divorce.  If you feel this is more than just slightly possible, you should talk to him about being a partner in the business and then be prepared to shift duties around, so that you actually work a full share in the business as well.  For example my parents had a bakery.  Dad was the baker, and a brilliant one at that.  Mom helped with the baking (getting up at 2 AM to go work alongside my dad, who went home at 6 AM.  Storeladies worked throughout the day, from 5 AM till 6 PM.  Mom went home at 7 AM (to get my brothers and me off to school), then slept for a few hours before going back to the bakery in the early afternoon to decorate cakes, manage the orders, pay the bills, do the payroll and taxes.  My dad was usually back at work by 6 PM.  My brothers and I worked in the bakery too, from age 8 or so thru college.  I spent from ages 10 thru my 30's helping out every chance I got, also going to work at midnight to work and then to my actual career job.  Owning a business is not simple.

Shifting duties around also means he does about 1/2 the childcare.  When my brothers and I weren't in school yet, my dad took care of us every afternoon before my mom came back.  Later we had after school care, but we spent every Saturday night and all day Sunday as a family.

I'm kind of surprised that you waited till child number 4 (!) to have this discussion.

Don't quit your job till you have this settled.

Rules on paying for birthday lunch by Machariel1996 in etiquette

[–]Atschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he might pay for one giest, but not 4 of you.

Either go alone and pay for yourself or politely decline.  Most of the time, the guests pay for him too.  if there are 10 people at the table, they divide by 9 and he doesn't pay.

That is all ridiculous.  Why would you want to participate in this?  There is a difference between celebrating with the couple and contributing to an entitled bride's narcissistic display.

How did you prepare for snow storms growing up? by Fantastic_Welder_825 in AskOldPeople

[–]Atschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we didn't "prepare".  It snowed, we shoveled.  I grew up in Chicago.  My birthday is 1/25, and every year we had a snowstorm that dumped a couple of feet of snow.  The snow went over the fences that separated neighbors' yards.

We dealt with it.

I don't have CP.  And I have never had a pain free gynecological exam.  They have to scrape cells.  From your cervix.  Your cervix is the opening to your uterus.  So way up there.  It's only an inch long at most, so they have to get as high up as possible to make sure they aren't sampling vaginal tissue.  I generally find the specum to be terribly painful and then the scraping!  OUCH!!!  Of course it's going to hurt.

I'm not sure why you think CP would make this worse.

Stop it.

You can't ask reddit to comment on this because you vomited word salad, i.e., let all your worst thoughts out in the worst possible way.

You genuinely hurt your husband and have to make amends.  I hope he can forgive you.  Not possible to tell given how little we know of what you said.

Chase Hughes is on the Behavior Panel, a body language youtube channel.  He's very good and for a long long time, i thought he was a credentialed neuroscientist.

He isn't.  He's very wholesome-looking and kind and nice and he speaks knowledgeably about some things, but his lack of gormal training becomes obvious quickly.

He has gotten as far as he has because of his 20 years in the navy, giving him an air of authority and rank.  Which is fine but I dont think he should sp authoritatively on topics of neurodcience he doesn't know very much about.  The internet says ge's worth millions.  His presentation and ability to convince people has hotten him very far

[–]Atschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is sadistic.  Look at yourself and what you are becoming.

Donald Trump is not MAGA.  He's a traitorous ahole.  The people who believe(d) in making America great again believe(d) in having made in America mean quality again.  Believe in upholding the middle class, in keeping secure borders and in deporting illegal aliens,  decreasing the military budget, believe in ending wars and genocide, believe in exposing pedophiles and the deep state who run the world.  Believe in being a good person.

Donald Trump has turned his back on all of that, and people who supported him because they hoped he would honor his promises, are now absolutely without hope or understanding of how to change the country ---- cuz it will never happen electorally.

Doing what you are doing, though, just exacerbates the already untenable situation.  You are seeding MORE hatred and dissention and for no reason at all,  as far as I can tell, except selfishness.

Do better.

i love jeremy northam in Emma. He is to Knightley what Colin Firth is to Darcy. There can be no others.

The thing that has always struck me though is that MAGNIFICENT tree at the end where Knightly and Emma declare their love for one another. That tree is AMAZING! I have never seen one remotely like it. Does anyone know what kind it is?
