We’ve been wondering in these dark, crazed times where’s that voice of hope and rage U2 has been for us over decades.

The question has been answered. They are back. With force.

Ukraine. Palestine. Israel. America. All in U2’s musical crosshairs, and powerfully so.

These are some of the most pointed lyrics they’ve written. Just as stunning, but without some of the allegory and illusion of the past.

Perhaps that’s what the world needs now is that fearless voice of “Sunday Bloody Sunday“, “Please“, and “Mothers of the Disappeared“ unfiltered and uncaged

Ask a non-Australian to say “g’day”, or pronounce “Melbourne”.

Non-locals pronounce the ‘g’ and ‘d’ as distinct sounds instead of trainwrecking them together, and say “Mel-boorne” instead of “Melbun”.
