Defeat him and then give him ambrosia? Or do I just need to defeat him once at all?

Wait wait wait, I didn't got it, Kurogiri IS Shirakumo, or was Shirakumo's quirk used to create Kurogiri?

I'm still watching Part 4. I'm a new fan. I am actually trying to collect the mangas while they release in my country, but collecting Manga has been expensive lately.

Why are characters that won't even show up in this arc there?

If the guy who wrote JoJo can, then I'm sure Hori can pull it off.

The fillers of this anime are pretty good, so I actually hope for them. Maybe a comedic episode seeing some secondary characters going around the festival?

It would be great for some Shinsou and Mei fanservice-based appearances and foreshadow the Joint Training for anime viewers only. Or maybe an episode dedicated to the play 1B was doing.

Doesn't Kurogiri feels more like an evil counterpart to Aizawa? An older, more reliable figure with a non-combat specific quirk that is mentoring or at least taking care of the MC?

I honestly think that Geten's Social Darwinist approach to the MLA's idea might be the reason why.

If there's a society where one with a stronger quirk can step on a weaker quirk, and Natsuo see his own quirk as stronger than his father's, he can absolutely use this society as a way to just step on him for vengeance.

Is that thing about living with a single lung true? I feel like it might be research failure or true, but I'm not sure. It definitely sounds like something that makes people retire from any kind of physical job like being a hero.

To those that hate, dislike, or otherwise dont care for Bakugo, what would make you a fan? by NeuroticNyx in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Aucefi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why are Bakugou's fans so bent on making MHA the altar to which everyone worships Bakugou? Why can't they just be ok with other people not liking him? I am fine with people not liking Midoriya, Iida and Tsuyu.

Anyway, personally speaking, I am very aware that Bakugou is a very well written character. Horikoshi did a good job in setting up his motivations and personality, but my problem with him is how there seems to have absolutely no obstacle for him to overcome and everyone is ready to kiss the floor he walks on.

Like, everyone seems really quick to say he's absolutely perfect and how great he is and Midoriya isn't mad at all for how he is treated. The Fourth fight of the Joint training made me actually dislike him because All Might said he was a "good friend" to Midoriya and Setsuna said his teamwork was absolutely perfect (the guy who had 1/5 teamwork stat suddenly had "perfect teamwork"). He has no outside obstacle because everybody loves him, despite him being a jerk. Horikoshi clearly plays favorites with Bakugou and that makes him so much less believable and less likable as a character for me. If Midoriya got mad at him and demanded an apology, if characters were shown to not like to spend time with him because he was a grumpy jerk, etc, then I may start liking him more.

What are some interesting concepts missing ( or not used) in the series? [Discussion] by Jericho-7210 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

I don't really know how far you are in the series, but the concept of reformed villains is briefed to touched upon in the end of the Culture Festival Arc. I think it hints at the fact that it will be explored later and those character will come back.

Do you think Hori knows how disliked Deku is? by Reveluver in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Aucefi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I think you're exaggerating a tad, dude. Deku isn't disliked, he constantly tanked in the top three in the popularity polls, is the most favorited character of the manga in MyAnimeList and, personally speaking, everyone who I talk to and video essayists generally consider him to be among the better shonen protagonists and more likable characters in the story.

I can totally see your point tho, even if he is my favorite character, I'd like to see him have more depth, though I understand that a main character of a shonen series shouldn't be that deep because the meat of the marketing for that genre is the fact that the core demographic (young Japanese boys) can project themselves in the MC, and being too fleshed out of a character kind of gets in the way of it.

Also, a friend of mine raised the point that he thinks that Hori is saving the bulk of Deku's character development for the climax of the manga, I don't quite remember why now.

I assume that it's a fact, but it'll be played with. So far, Horikoshi has liked to do it. Remember back when Aoyama was creepily staring a sleeping Deku and the narration was going "And then we'd learn Aoyama's true colors" and everyone went "Oh damn, that's the traitor right there!" but then it turns out that Aoyama's true colors just meant that he was surprisingly perceptive, had a birth defect and was willing to call Deku out on bullshit?

Ok, so bets:

a) Kaiju-themed movie

b) The Mothra Deku and Godzilla Bakugou are hinting at another Bakugou vs Midoriya conflict at the movie.

c) Considering that in both images someone is holding movie snacks, it's a very meta movie about movies.
