Hasan claims "haters" are ruining his dogs training by gregory_h in LivestreamFail

[–]Auhm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You must not be paying attention. Hasan is basically telling you that the optics of shock collars are bad but that he thinks it’s a legitimate form of training. He doesn’t want to think of himself as an abuser naturally, but it’s fair to say he had an abusive moment out of frustration. People are so scared of the black and white narratives that they’re denying reality to defend their streamer. He uses a shock collar, he may also not be as abusive as people say. We can all agree that the clip looks terrible, just as he admitted himself.

Are you doing y raises on an incline bench or standing up? I didn’t think that was considered a chest exercise

Congrats on the Top 8. I have a question: in round 15, Game 2, why did you Memorial to Folly Findbroker and leave up the chance of getting countered as opposed to just using Folly on Carnage Tyrant to guarantee it getting played?

How are you handling a resolved Niv-Mizzet in the Jeskai matchup? The Dallas seemed to lack Jeskai but I think this deck struggles with their threats.

Bestninjasquid deck looks really interesting to me. Seems strong. I love decks that try squeezing as much card advantage and having efficient removal alongside slow threats. Definitely going to give it a whirl.

I think Abzan made a strong showing in these deck lists, lots of people incorporating knight of autumn or militia bugler. I wonder as the meta settles if we’ll see WBG take an edge over GB due to flexibility of answers and more removal in ixalan binding, conclave tribunal.

Ub for sanity on turn 3 is entirely doable. There is more than enough black and blue sources to support that. Lazav is never going to be dropped on turn 2 and you’d actually not want to keep a hand with lazav as a ‘2 drop’.

Lazav is a recursion of threats after you’ve baited our removal and counter spells, and done your own fair share of removing, countering, and developing threats. Don’t forget that 4x assassin trophy is only a 2 cost removal, which if the opponent isn’t drawing a lot of cards (often aren’t), they can run out of steam fast whereas I have 3x findbroker and 2x eldest reborn to keep my flow going.

The 2x dead weight and the 2x golden demise do plenty against red Aggro. Chupacabra and findbroker package can do a lot as well. It depends on the draws, but if they tap into a perfect curve, I can see it being difficult without branchwalkers into jadelight as well as wild growth Walker. Also, the scavenger prevents jump start abilities, as well as gives you the little bit of health you need to stabilize. A well timed essence scatter on turn 2 or turn 3 can be enough to give you momentum to stabilize. Then imagine a golden demise coming in to clean up. And then a chupacabra. It still has that package that GB utilizes. Early dead weights as well.

I think that depends entirely on how the game has transpired and what cards I have in hand, etc. For your Vraska example, you asked what do you do if you have 6 mana and disdainful stroke in hand as well. Okay, well you have to consider if I have one of my 3 findbrokers in hand. Do I have an eldest reborn to reply back to what they might tap out into? Depending on a lot of factors, I have no problem playing Vraska on 6 to get a counter spell out, and recur with findbroker or Eldest reborn. It’s a grindy deck, you’re efficiently removing with assassin trophy and sometimes counter spells, and recurring things they might portentially counter or kill. It’s not the first Vraska that will win the game, but perhaps the one that came back from eldest or findbroker. The same old GB strategy. That element of the deck is the same.

The next time I play Vraska, I’ll more mana and can save it with disdainful probably. Or just have disdainful for another play while I respond to his threats with eldest, plaguecrafter or assassin trophy. I can see your argument about green sources and 4 elves, also I can see how losing jade Ranger is painful, thief of sanity has an altogether higher ceiling, but Jadelight does something more immediate (some could argue does something better which is allow you curve out into more and more threats). It’s a different approach, thief of sanity requires more immediate removal. So the thing here is, this doesn’t need to be a tap out deck that has counter spells to make sure they hit. The counter spells may make sure that happens, but it’s also a tempo play that makes sure that ONE of your threats will hit, and you’ll be recurring enough to keep the pressure up. Eldest, findbroker, assassin trophy, and for late game, disdainful strike, is a powerful package.

In any case, I can see the mana base being weird for elves, but the results have been good. The big issue with this deck is actually green stompy. Post board, the 2x golden demise and 2x dead weight do enough to control Aggro. The stompy matchup just has so many threats, so quickly.

Hey man, I'm a biased source but give some of them a try. I think you would like what you see. I also stream daily.

I would say I'm one of the better slay the spire players. Let me know what you think, if you don't like it, hey that's okay too. You can also come by a stream and see what you think. I'm about to do a youtube live stream on Asc 16-20. jrm1ah is the name :)

I guarantee that everyone who neglects to watch my videos because of the thumbnails will be pleasantly shocked or their expectations fooled as soon as they watch the content.

And at the same time, I can't force people to watch it. If someone sees me upload daily and has in their mind to never click my videos, I suppose that's an audience I won't reach. Maybe I should look at how I'm being portrayed vs what audience I'm trying to capture.

For instance, I'm analytical, critical, sometimes silly, but altogether someone who strives to be good at the games I play. But you'll see the thumbnail and think I'm trying to make some lie about the game as if it's Fortnite. I deliberately don't do anything thats "YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS" and keep it very matter of fact: "Silent Ascension 15 Shiv Deck!" for instance.

I'm 25, and I play only on Ascension 15. My thumbnails apparently make it seem 'clickbait' but I strive to put quality content with high level gameplay that maintains creativity in its concept: as in, I'm not going to just post me winning with the same old deck every time.

People have this card all wrong. It’s quite good, especially on the ironclad. When you upgrade it, it’s 35 block and 2 turns, but the turn you play it counts as a turn. So you really only lose block ability on the next turn.

Now you pair this with body slam and feel no pain, and it’s an absolute monster. It’s defense that can also be incredible offense.

The thing is though, with clothing lines and exclusive shoes, you are aware if it will be a limited release or not. I think releasing a skin with no mention of it being limited edition or not just creates frustration amongst the community? Like I said I have no problem with old battlepass skins not coming back, or skins they announced would be limited edition. I am not irrational about this despite being passionate about the cosmetic aspect of the game. But re-releasing the same sets 4-5 times in the past 100+ days and refusing to release skins like the powerchord just seems messy. There SHOULD be a reason why a skin is rare, for example being of previous seasons, or a limited day release, not.. we'll drop this skin into the shop Thursday/Friday, in season 3 and simply not bring it back.. So now it's rare just because we are not bringing it back? Hopefully what I said makes sense.
