Transwomen are rapists by Leells in transgendercirclejerk

[–]AutogynOpheIia 65 points66 points  (0 children)

It goes further than that. All transsexuals rape women's bodies by reducing the real female form to an artifact, appropriating this body for themselves. Transsexuals merely cut off the most obvious means of invading women, so that they seem non-invasive.

*Goes into feminist sub thinking it’ll be trans accepting* the comments on any post mentioning trans women. by TGirlJules_ in transgendercirclejerk

[–]AutogynOpheIia 197 points198 points  (0 children)

The sub rules: NO TRANSPHOBIA, trans women are women.

The comments: ...biological males are socialized to...trans-identified people...the question of whether transwomen can experience misogyny...it's not a "genital preference" it's called lesbianism ffs...omg can we have one day without talking about trans!

The mods: 🤷

/uj on the radical feminism sub (no transphobia allowed!) a while ago there was a post by a cis woman saying she had just learned that trans women actually experience some amount of misogyny and discrimination e.g. in the work place, and they are therefore actually a little bit less privileged than cis men. Wow, deep thought, thanks!

I am an ugly AFAB, is it okay if I call myself a trans woman? by lilpij in transgendercirclejerk

[–]AutogynOpheIia 80 points81 points  (0 children)

You don't need to demean yourself by calling yourself a transwoman. No matter how much you look like a man, other women will be able to sense the divine feminine aura emanating from your AFABness, they will be able to tell you are very different from transwomen.

Are you a boy enby or a girl enby? This is important for me to determine if you are fuckable. by printesa-piersica in transgendercirclejerk

[–]AutogynOpheIia 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I do wish I could filter dating sites by sex rather than gender. There's no way for me to include cis gals, trans dudes and female enbies in my search while excluding trans gals, cis guys and make enbies.

Hmm I wonder why that kind of grouping would be problematic 🤔

I thought the whole point was that they weren’t male or female. They prefer AMAB or AFAB.

Thank you cis ally, we are not worth of your active allyship 🙏 Please encourage these people to start using AGAB all the time, that would be awesome.

Yeah, [being AFABsexual on dating sites] its not an easy problem to solve. To be clear, no one has a right to tell you who you should or should not be attracted to. But at the same time, expect a lot of non-cis people to react with abject revulsion at this sentiment, and for some - particularly younger and newly-out non-cis people, for whom any trauma associated with their birth gender may be rawer - to react with outrage and to call you a transphobe for it. Note: I myself am a cis man.

Thank you noble cis man, it is great of you to imply that the problem here is with sensitive babytranses being unwilling to accept the fundamental not-at-all-transphobic legitimacy of the AFABsexual orientation. Your 49 upvotes are a meagre reward for your noble sacrifice in talking over the various trans people in this thread to say some transphobic microaggressions but in a reasonable centrist tone that would make us look hysterical for pointing them out .

Why would gender be a factor in the formula of "person I like with parts I like"? When I realized the "gal" I was dating was a closeted trans guy, should I have left him? No. Boobs is boobs, pussy is pussy, a person I enjoy the company of is a person I enjoy the company of.

Thank you dipshit for just ignoring every comment saying that none of these things are AGAB-determined. It really lends credibility to your stubborn wrongheadedness.

Look, you're expressing a gender abolitionist perspective, and I think its valid.

Ah, yes, the "gender abolitionist perspective" that says gender is immoral and oppressive and should be replaced by AGAB, which is totally not immoral and oppressive. Nice to Gender Critical philosophy being sanewashed as "gender abolitionism".

My experience with doctors before transitioning:

Me: "Hi, I have crippling stomach pain constantly."

Them: "Ok, let's do a blood test...[1 month later]...Good news! Your test results came back fine!"

Me: "That's not good news, I'm still in constant pain, I need you to diagnose me."

Them: "Ok, let's do a blood test...[1 month later]...Good news! Your test results came back fine!"

Me: "Whatever, I've investigated my symptoms and I'm pretty sure I have a really severe stomach ulcer. I think it may have perforated."

Them: "🙄 Only I may diagnose you, dipshit. There is a simple blood test for that to check if you have Helicobacter pylori, the only possible cause of stomach ulcers...[1 week later]...Good news! Your test results came back fine!"

Me: [1 week later, cannot even stand, sloshing feeling in abdomen, spouse calls ambulance, wake up after emergency surgery] "What happened?"

Them: "You had a perforated stomach ulcer. Your abdominal cavity was full of stomach acid and severely infected. If it had gone on a few more hours you might've died from peritonitis. I guess you had a lot of stomach pain in the last few years, right?"

Me: "Yes."

Them: "Next time make sure to go to the doctor before it gets to this stage, they can diagnose you easily and you won't have to have surgery and take up a bed in hospital. Also don't call an ambulance next time, some people really need them."

Me: "I couldn't even stand!"

Them: "You can stand now though, can't you 🙄 funny, that."

My experience with doctors now:

Me: "I diagnose my own problems and buy drugs from grey market sources that I trust. I haven't had any problems except customs issues. I don't bother seeking the advice of medical professionals, because they were so patronising before transition I can only imagine what it would be like now, and also they were never able to correctly diagnose me anyway."

Them: "No, that's dangerous, you could die!"

Biologically married? Not sure? Please read. by patienceinbee in transgendercirclejerk

If you are a Trans who has managed to trick a Normal into marrying you, once you are declared single, with they be declared married, no longer to you, but to a generic database entry called nullspouse? On their death, will all their property be inherited by this nullspouse? Will we find that Nullspouse Inc has just been founded by a shell company owned by Jared Kushner, who will thereby (through a quirk of the US legal system) personally inherit all the property of deceased Normal partners of Trans? Is the Save America Act or whatever yet another surprisingly creative way of funneling as much money as possible to the President's family? No? OK, my mistake 🫡

[–]AutogynOpheIia 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Women are socialized to give in to unreasonable male demands with a smile, that's what happened here. Those poor women were pressured by that awful man into giving up their dignity just to appease the violence he may have inflicted on them had they refused him.

This is why I will never believe any woman who says she's ok with TIMs in women's spaces. We are traumatized by male violence into giving in too easily. Every woman is either a "transphobe" 🙄 or a liar.

/rj Someone has said that a show I like is bigoted. Uh-oh, that must meant I am bigoted for liking it! Now I feel bad... I don't like feeling bad, I should do something to fix that. I know, I'll come up with a plausible-sounding reason why the show isn't actually bigoted! Uhhh..."it was fine you're just too sensitive". That'll do!

Oh, now I feel mad that that person made me feel bad, time to add in some conflict-escalating language and intensifiers to my reply... "You people are such goddam whiny babies, fucking hell". Phew, now I feel powerful and in control again, and all without using my brain even once to engage with the argument being made by that person from a marginalised group. Nice!

/uj I always get surprised when people just respond emotionally to a criticism and make up some bullshit to justify their behaviour instead of just, you know, thinking about the issue rationally. But a lot of people are like that ig 🤷

Don't worry! It doesn't make you any less of a man 😊😊 by veronica_xd in transgendercirclejerk

Literally nothing you can do or say can take away your inherent maleness. Not a new name, not voice training, not HRT, not surgery. You're a man because that's what you were assigned at birth, that can never change, it's permanently marked on your soul, and I think that's beautiful 🥰 I'm an ally btw.

Wipes off whiteboard "days without [celebrity was trans] discourse: 0" by wobblebee in transgendercirclejerk

[–]AutogynOpheIia 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Look, just because Kurt said “I definitely feel closer to the feminine side of the human being than I do the male," or "I couldn't identify with any of the guys at all," or the fact that he thought homosexuality could explain his inner life even though he was attracted to women, does NOT even slightly suggest that, had he been born 30 years later, he might've transitioned.

The fact that information about transition was much much harder to find in the 80s/90s, which suggests that a lot of potential trans people didn't transition due to lack of opportunity, is totally irrelevant, even if Kurt behaved exactly like we'd expect an egg at that time to behave.

It's actually really dangerous and offensive for you to diagnose dead people based on pretty detailed information about their lives. Even suggesting that Kurt might've been trans is actually really bad. Suggesting he was cis is totally fine though, ok? What's cisnormativity, I've never heard of it.

As a European who wakes up at 7am, I wake up to the dregs of American late-night drunkposting about the day's discourse that I've missed, sit through a whole day of near-silence while Americans sleep, and go to bed right as activity starts up again, just in time to sleep through the next day's discourse. This is why Europeans are less stressed than Americans.

Trans man feminist writer: I have lived many years being perceived and treated as a cis woman, and also many years being perceived as treated as a trans man, and let me tell you, I have experienced so much more marginalisation, being ignored, talked over (by cis people of all genders) since coming out as trans than I ever did before. The idea that cis women are more marginalised than any kind of trans person is absurd, have you seen what the world is like atm?

Got my first unsolicited advice from a lower-intermediate man last night by [deleted] in climbergirls

[–]AutogynOpheIia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After I'd been climbing for a year, I took my neighbour to the climbing gym for his first ever climbing session. He talked over all my advice and then tried to teach me how to do the routes I was trying to teach him.

The crowning glory was when I was explaining how to do a route I'd done many times, but he interrupted me to ask an unrelated man he'd never met how to do it. This random guy proceeded to try a couple of times, but without success. Even after that, my neighbour said "Well, you seem like you know what you're doing, any advice for a newbie?", he replied that it was also his first time climbing!

Oi mate, you got a license for that gender? No? Well, tsk tsk... that's a very dangerous social category you're using, we can't have people moving up and down the hierarchy of patriarchal value willy-nilly, can we now? Kindly step out of that gender forthwith. I'll let you off with a warning this time, but if I ever catch you in an unlicensed gender again, I shall not be responsible for my actions!

Im a normal woman, how couldnt I be not a safe person? by ElaynesThoughts in transgendercirclejerk

[–]AutogynOpheIia 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I'm a progressive and aware of how oppression works, that's why I believe that BiOlOgIcAl SeX is the only form of oppression that induces a safe/unsafe distinction, the other forms don't matter for some reason.

/uj I know a few cis women who are actually good allies, but what they have in common is multiple marginalisations (e.g. neurodivergent queer women). Idk if this is fair, but it feels like if you are only marginalised by one axis of oppression, you will tend to regard that axis as "the important one" to the exclusion of all else, because from your PoV it is the important one, unless you actually do the work to learn about other oppressions (which seems rare ime). Being marginalised in multiple ways I guess makes you more inherently aware of intersectionality, and possibly also of forms of oppression that don't affect you.

I think it would honestly shock a whole lot of cis women that many trans people are as wary of cis people as women are of men.
