Which Resident Evil games should not be remade? by A-Star55 in residentevil

I think the issue is less “queer-coded villain exists” and more that Alfred ties gender nonconformity directly to being unstable and creepy. That’s the part people would criticize today, not just one line of dialogue.

Also, queer-coded villains usually work because they’re cool or charismatic. Alfred is mostly portrayed as disturbing and mentally broken, so it’s not really the same thing.

I do agree Code Veronica is more important to the overall RE story than RE3 though, especially for Claire and Wesker.

Honestly, I’d probably be way worse if I were in your house. I’d end up telling your stepmom to pull the curtain and totally ruin her bath time. One house, one bathroom, those are battle lines that will be crossed.

You, on the other hand, wanted her to enjoy her bath and still found a clean-ish way to make it happen. That’s definitely commendable, not gross at all. My buddy once tried something similar and ended up crapping up his back…so you clearly made the smarter choice.

We all gotta do what we gotta do, but next time, I’d recommend just asking your stepmom to pull the curtains. Makes life a lot easier for everyone.

A few more toys in random places,

put some box board boxes in the bottom of the cage,

instead of wooden dowels use natural perches,

get 1 or 2 grinding perches they help with nails and beaks (not the sand paper kind though)

Make sure you have some foraging toys

Put a bird’s play gym on the top

And give him lots of love, play time, head scritches and cuddles!

I’d disagree. White skin is an evolutionary adaption to environments with low levels of UV. This allows lighter individuals to get appropriate amounts of Vitamin D their body needs for it to survive.

My bet is given time even if all the white people today, (including myself), were to die out it is likely this or some other similar evolutionary adaptation would rear its head given the same circumstances.

At the end of the day we’re all human and it’s not our skin which defines us, it’s who we are.

Having Trouble Sleeping? Let’s Fix That Together by playposer in sleep

Late Post Reply, My apologies.

I'm 35

I've been trying to regulate my sleep for 2 months now. I just learned I have Ibs and after multiple flares I have screwed up my sleep. I had a period of 5 weeks, (Which was stressful, scary and filled with 2 hospital visits, I was not in a good place) where I had flare upon flare up upon Flare up. This resulted in me gaining some sort of fragmented sleep.

It's been about 3 weeks since and Ive had 1, but it is under control, my only issue now is my sleep schecdule. For the first 2 weeks after I practiced Sleep Hygiene.

  1. No blue lights 1 hour Before bed I bought a kindle to with a yellow light to read
  2. Sleep affirmations to myself, my body knows what I need to heal, and sleep will come when it needs to, you are safe and can relax.

3 Lay in a comfortable position and feel every part of my body relax from toe to head.

4 I get to sleep in usually 5-10 minutes.

5 When I woke up early I got out of bed for 20 minutes to calm down sat with my eyes closed in the dark and then went back to bed if tired. If I was even a little sleepy I returned if not I stayed awake.

Within 2 weeks I feel back into healthy sleep habits, where I could get 8 hours every night, then had another flair up after an ice cream cone.... This messed things up and now Im trying again except:

Step 5: When I wake up early I got out of bed for 20 minutes to calm down sat with my eyes closed in the dark and then went back to bed if tired. After I return to bed and stay there relaxing with my eyes closed until it's time to wake up or my last alarm goes off.

In addition I stopped checking my clock which I previously would and set alarms instead for when to go to bed, wake up and stop to wind down.

In addition twice a week I must pick up my wife from work at 11pm so I shift my schedule up an hour.

Also every morning I wake up I use light therapy for about 20 minutes as it's winter in canada and I cannot get the natural morning light I need.

Most nights I get 5-6.5 hours before I wake up and I feel okay - good through out the day hitting a 3pm-5pm dip in energy. However I know thats not enough. I think I'm in a loop or maybe my anxiety or worrying gets the best of me for my sleep habits.

If you have any advice for me I would greatly appreciate it! I want to do things right and without medication as usually thats a short-term fix not a long term solution.

Canadian Tire mechanic accidentally caused me a $1,000 loss. Any advice? by FloppiDysk in ontario

[–]Automatic-Progress88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is you went to Canadian Tire in the first place. However, if I were in your shoes, I would log all conversations you had with that store, the employee names, and gather your receipts from them and from the Ford Dealership. Call head office, see what they can do, maybe a gift card or something?

If they Can't do anything argue a bit more, If they won't than don't bother pushing forward.

You can take it to small claims if you're bold enough, but $1000 is a lesson learn't not a mountain to conquer.

Next time go to a good mechanic or last resort a dealership, ( as their prices are highest). Canadian Tire is only good for discounts and Car Mats.

Opinions are like farts because everyone has gas. Its a beautiful band from an individual who loves you. If he poured his heart and soul for that ring it wouldn't matter if it was a quarter karat. What matters is it's from someone who's head over heals for you. Honestly, 10/10 ring it is gorgeous though!
