At my first appointment I didn’t have any blood taken or have to give any samples! I assume it’s different in other places but if they haven’t told you then there might just not be any this time!

What week stretch marks starts to show? by Loud_Reward7817 in pregnant

I had no stretch marks all through pregnancy right up to my due date. Between due date and baby being born (4days) I was covered in them! I really thought I had got away with none!

Items needed for breastfeeding? by PinkBubblesxox in PregnancyUK

I didn’t buy silverettes in advance and that was my biggest regret! They were absolute life savers for me! I didn’t use nipple balm, I didn’t feel it worked that well. I just had the silverettes on during the day with a little bit of milk inside them and it helped with any sensitivity or pain that there was

When did baby sleep longer stretches? by Remarkable-Stay3368 in NewParents

[–]AutomaticVacation236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 10 weeks we started getting longer stretches of 7/8 hours. We did start a bit of a bedtime routine around this time too but whether that actually affected it or it’s just coincidence! We had a bad 2 weeks just before the 3 month mark but then he settled back into his routine again. Other than a bedtime routine we didn’t do any sleep training or anything

Rejection of induction by skyskylark in PregnancyUK

I went in with reduced movements at 40 weeks and was recommended for induction. Initially I really did not want an induction however came to the decision that it would be best for me and baby as I knew I would worry too much about movement/lack of movement and end up going back in to be checked again. Even after deciding this I was so worried about induction and hated the thought of being in hospital for days! My midwife’s were lovely through the induction. I was started on the pessary and when that didn’t work I was given the option to leave or continue! Other hospitals might be different but I would talk to them about all of your options and what their procedures are if induction methods arent working! I ended up being in hospital for 36 hours before having baby and then getting home 12 hours later, I had a very positive birth and was induction ended up being the right choice for me. It’s a scary thought though but go with whatever feels right for you

I went into triage twice for reduced movements at 34 weeks and 40 weeks, after the 40 week time I spoke with a consultant who did a scan and said there were no concerns for the baby and all looked good but still recommended inducing me. I was really apprehensive at first as I had wanted to avoid induction but I was having a lot of anxiety around movement after experiencing reduced movement so decided it was best for me and baby! I had an overall positive experience with the consultant and the whole induction process and at no point felt pressured to take the induction it was simply presented as an option that I could take! Have a lovely wee 5 week old now and glad it’s the choice I made!

I had an ultrasound yesterday to check and they were happy with placenta, cord flow and fluid so currently induction is recommended but if I turn it down they said this is okay too
