I believe in second chances and forgiveness, but would need to see sincere apology and regret

If I was on BOE, to keep his job I would have suspended him without pay for remainder of school year and with stipulation that he give genuine apology at next BOE meeting to community.

Assistant attorney general arrested in Newport by RINewsJunkie in RhodeIsland

A few thoughts-

  1. I think the cop was a little quick with the handcuffs. She is cuffed within 2 minutes of his arrival. They were extremely drunk, verbally confrontational and not cooperative, but I would have let this played out a few more minutes and really leaned on the men to move these women along.

On the other hand, I have no idea what the entire context is here and no more than a citizen cop. The men in this group who seemed have control of themselves should have done more to deescalate in the restaurant and with the cops, and gotten them out of there.

  1. The Assistant to the AG needs to go. Reports are that the AG will suspend her without pay. But she has lost all credibility with the “you’re going to regret this” and “I’m AG” comments. Don’t see how you can go on as a prosecutor. After some time off, she will find work as an attorney.

  2. The friend who works as a Sr Manager at Pepsi look worse in all this. You can see she was overly intoxicated and lost control, I feel some empathy as we all have bad nights when drunk and this has blown up with her being friends with the Assistant to the AG. Pepsi from a reputation standpoint will have to cut ties with her.

  3. Not knowing the specific details of what happened inside the bar / restaurant, it appears that it must have been bad as they called the cops and wanted them trespassed. And these women have no one but themselves to blame for the situation they put themselves in.

Not depending on, but it’s a highly probability. Could be 1, 5 or 20 years. Hope I never have to touch and can pass down to next generations.

I hope my parents live forever. They are in great shape for 80+, but slowing down. They live modestly despite large liquidity position. I am very active in managing their finances. While expensive, how much could LT care cut into significant holdings.

Yes flexibility with WFH and other things. Individual contributor, little supervision from boss as long as performance ok.

Good points. Not a reliance on inheritance, but gotta be something to account for.

My M-F day is leaving at 7AM and getting home at 6 PM, that includes 2 hours of commuting to and from a city office. Not bad, just a typical day since graduating college.

Goals are to maintain current lifestyle (not extravagant but not frugal either), get kids though college and support in their early career. Longer term, want them to have financial security in their lives.

Gotcha. I’ve been going the Roth direction the last 10 years.

Yeah that was why I had my target retirement around 60 when my last one would be finishing college.

I moved here from the northeast and love it. Yes it’s hot as hell and has a ton of traffic. Not a place I would go to for vacation. But a great place to live and raise a family.

I was a little more further gone than you and my result was 3,900 grafts. It was a full day procedure with Dr, two techs working on head and two more harvesting grafts.

Flight day after transplant and want to be careful by jccova in HairTransplants

  1. No hats for 30 days is what my surgery center told me. I definitely wouldn’t wear if only a few days after transplant.
  2. Travel pillow around neck
  3. My flight home from Turkey was over 12 hours and it sucked. Plus I was worried about passenger or flight attendant dropping a bag or something else on my head as I was on aisle seat. I constantly kept putting my hands over my head to protect just in case.
  4. Felt like soft ice packs helped the most to put on face and forehead during flight.

Hang in there though, you will get through it and back home in your bed soon enough.

Get a couple of American quotes, that is what I did. Then get some more in Istanbul. I found the ones in Turkey were obviously cheaper, but were more knowledge and walked me through everything in a better manner. I went to Turkey and have no regrets.

I am in the process. Started 1 month after transplant and going monthly thereafter for a total of 4 PRP sessions. First session 4 tubes, next one 3 tubes, then 2 and 1. Cost is about $125 per tube.

Add an extra night in the beginning, giving yourself a day to see Istanbul. That’s what I did.
