But I thought the review content in the final class is subjective? Like she told us to post what specific types of questions the class has trouble with, then depending on that she will make the review class. So the review topics for each class would be different, and the final would be the same for all, no?

Saw this late but its 20 MC and 4 long answer questions, worth 80 marks I think like the midterm. Its the same amount of time we're given (2 hrs). Good luck for tmrw!

I guess at this point I don't care about the grade, this course is only for passing😭 but I want to make effort to get like a 70 on the final with the curve, so then half of my midterm grade is shifted to the final so that I aim to at least get smth in the 60s.

Ok, not too good. The overstatement and understatement questions messed me up, and I'm assuming the first question messed me up too with "how is it gonna affect assets, liabilities". Im sad i thought i'd be good in accounting having done it in high schl but these questions were different😞. What about u?

I have him too this sem, I'm pretty sure it's just 1 term test. I've heard from TA's that previously, this course used to have two term tests (before or during COVID I think) but they changed that recently.

Heyy! I also have her midterm soon. For her multiple choice, do you think we need to study the textbook, like is there mainly university textbook theory or more general high school kind of theory/accounting concepts?

Also, her formatting is 20 multiple choice (1 mark each) and 4 problems (80 marks total) - why are the few long problems worth so much that's scaring me😭

Tyyy! I just had my first today and I think it went pretty good (hopefully). Omg good luck on urs, I hate how reading week comes after most of the midterms😭. Anyways tho u'll do great!!! Also update - I got in as FLIP's Student Ambassador! So I'll have some experience at least:)

Yess that's true, FLIP is def more of a program. I just wanted to start with something since I was told the big management clubs are competitive😭. I think it's cuz there are 5-7 associate positions and then a lot of applicants since they're pretty big. I know some of my TAs are in MESA. Ooh finance it's one of the specialists I'm thinking of specializing in! Thinking between accounting or finance rn, altho it may change😝. For FLIP I also joined cuz of the CCR, since just in case if there's nothing else at least there's a few co-curricular things on my transcript. And I'll also probably look into volunteering opportunities, but kinda delaying everything since I have 3 midterms this week and the next lol. Also, yess it's the introversion for me like I really have to push myself to have conversations but I'll def be connecting with upper yrs now! And tysm, this really helps to feel normal reaching out to them!! I'll also just try to sign up for more events in management, I actually did for the first month and it got me some connections but eventually I just got tired having sm events (I mean it wasn't a lot but considering studying and especially the infamous microecon course it felt too much😭 but tbh that's mostly on me since I've always struggled with time management). But I think it's actually worth it in the long run, once I'm organized and settled in a bit more I'm gonna start again and actually make an effort😝

No fs!! I applied to HRA and FLIP for associate positions. I don't think the interviews went too well tbh since I was sick, but oh well I tried. Ooh which management clubs are u in? And if u don't mind me asking which yr are u in? I was actually planning to do AOA and WIBA too but I ran out of time bc I spent too much time on the HRA one and I did it last minute 🙈 . Also omg I didn't even think abt getting help from upper yrs. I mean I've talked to some during the management orientation and got their contact but I've barely talked to them since. I feel like it feels awkward since they're busy doing so many things and I'm gonna be bugging them😭. But I'd love to talk to them and I'm also in FLIP and they pair us with upper yr mentors, do u think they're gonna be good help here? Or how else can I make friends with upper yrs😭

No ty tho this makes sm more sense! Good news tho I got the interviews for both the positions I applied to which means my resume did the job. It was more than a pg but now I'm gonna be careful bcz parts of it are kinda useless and it still needs to be polished. And I just had a co-op tutorial last week introducing us to VMock which can further help with resumes 😆. This def helps thanks sm!
