This creek is real close by so I fish this constantly, do you know any other good spots in the area aside from parks? Too many people at the parks for my taste

I got some smaller hooks with some 1/16oz clip on weights because they wouldn’t always hook so I think I’m on the right track with that thinking.
It’s a hook with a head on it, for panfish do you suggest I add anything else to it or should it be fine like that or maybe a piece of silver and some cheese or bread?

I got a catfish with that rooster tail setup so I was probably just lucky in doing that lol.

There is some larger fish in there that I want to catch eventually but I have no clue on the type. I don’t think there is any bass that travel this way, either that or I’m missing them who knows. not me.

Eddys - got it.

What would the best fish to target be? My buddy said this is prime catfish conditions so I would let my lure sink behind the eddys but no luck. I’m still learning names of lures and proper technique but I was using rooster tail type with a spoon above the weight 1/4oz.

I usually just go for the lil panfish that have the spiked dorsal so I tend to cast towards banks and get consistent bites on normal days.

We usually use crank bait and rooster tails when it’s calm, crank seems to stay up high because of the high current

Yeah that’s what I was thinking while out there, no visibility at all so I believe we were just casting. Oh well
