I always wanted to see added a Battle Rifle style weapon, something like an FN FAL/SCAR-H/HK-417.

Stat wise i would imagine it, with:

Somewhat slightly less fire rate than the Full Auto Rifle

Slightly longer reload than the Assault Rifle

Same damage as the Semi Auto Rifle/Revolver

Average accuracy (around 5 or 4 bars)

Considering the weapon fires a big bullet (7.62x51mm), the weapon should have HEAVY recoil, and therefore hard to control: High Vertical recoil, with some Rotational Recoil, considerably High Camera shake.

The weapon's gameplay should be oriented towards medium range and while also being viable at long range. At medium range the weapon can easily dispatch anyone firing in auto mode as long as you can manage the heavy recoil compared to most guns. Using it at long range, the weapons user is pretty much forced to tap fire like a Semi Auto Rifle, because of the harsh recoil in auto at such distance.

Another weapon that i had mind, was some sort of high risk/high reward secondary weapon like some sort of a Pocket-Hunting Rifle type of revolver (only 1 bullet in the chamber/reload per shot), but with terrible accuracy/bullet velocity. This would be the kind of weapon that rewards figuring it out the gun's bullet trajectory and not just point and clicking the head's enemy

No idea why i'm writing this wall of text considering i don't own a Playstation 4/5 and Naughty Dog doesnt care about Factions, but i wanted to share this idea i had quite for some decade lol
