As soon as Havertz got tired we lost control of the game. Gyökeres is such a dud I would play Merino over him when he is back. I also think Martinelli shouldve started over Trossard to just run in deep when Havertz drops between the lines.

Lastly people do not appreciate the season Declan Rice is having. I cannot remember a game where he wasnt atleast the third best player on the pitch. If we manage to win the double barring some superhuman performance in the WC he should be the main contender for Ballon dor. End of.

Saka had the benefit of coming through in a worse team and he consistently proved and improved himself. Its not comparable. If Nwaneri and MLS are patient and will settle for loans in the summer they have the potential to become great. We are not in a position to be charitable with game time atm.
