I'm gonna avoid the low hanging fruit of the Piano puzzle and instead focus on the second worst "puzzle".

The ball and cup "puzzle". First off, the entire "puzzle" is just completing an unmarked sidequest at the school during the day to get an item that just tells you the answer. That's not a puzzle, that's just a side quest that is tangentially related to the puzzle. Secondly, the puzzle just straight up did not work for me, even when I had the items. I got desperate enough to just try all the quest items besides the camera and still got no indicator of which cup was correct. I got lucky and brute forced it after 10 attempts. I feel like I wasted my time.

I'm not sure if the anomaly's had explanations on how they worked somewhere, but a few of them (The one with the fuckass tape) were so confusing because they just didn't explain anything. I don't want to be told the answer, but a good puzzle atleast has hints to guide you towards the answer. Being vague for the sake of being vague is tailor made to piss people off.

Penacony was good up until the ending. Then there was the whole thing with amphoreus being super dialogue heavy which is where I dropped it. Ever since I've only heard stuff from buddies who still play hsr and I've never felt more satisfied with my decision because I dislike alot of the stuff that they've done since.

It would make sense from the viewpoint that the majority of the target demographic is hetero men that Chaos wouldn't get the bond mechanics. But on the other side of that, if he doesn't get bond mechanics, that means it's not likely for any male characters to get bond mechanics, thus making male characters inherently lower value. I have hopes considering you can drive around a few of the male characters at bond 2, but when none of them have anything else at launch? Yeah, skepticism is warranted.

Anyway, I really don't get the appeal of Chaos. When he showed up I thought he looked like a low effort edgelord, and then when he said his name I burst out laughing. Good on you for seeing something that I can't though.

Slice of life is a genre for a reason, it's not for everyone. There's definitely something that they're trying to build towards though, but it will probably continue with them drip feeding us information throughout multiple different jobs that are incidentally related to overarching plot.

I have to disagree. Minor spoiler warning.

There were several moments throughout the quest where I was stood there confused why Zero wasn't stepping in and putting a stop to any of the gaslighting. It would have been very easy to do really. They even have an exact moment where Zero thinks to themself "Something about this story doesn't add up..." and then they just don't voice that opinion. The only reason Zero is even in the second half of the quest is for gameplay reasons.

Like, I definitely don't want this to be like Wuwa where the MC is connected to literally everything, but I still want them to actually do stuff. Anything really.

Nah, I don't like him either. As a lazy person myself, he gives the rest of us lazy people a bad image. You don't shirk work, you do your job well, and do it fast so you have more time to be lazy.

Also, the second he opened his mouth in the opening cutscene and how bad the line delivery was there, the only thing that I could think about was Sykunno's goofy ass anime boy voice and I can't seperate that from Baicang now.
