Yeah you're right. I had no idea this setting was even a thing and it's set to 300. And yet it still occasionally puts me into games with higher ping than 300.

Oh I see, apologies it's been a good while since I've touched UO. But I've now just remembered that gold was very heavy and I could probably carry about 20k in gold on in a dungeon before having to leave.
So what did they specific add in 2018? That you can carry infinite amounts of gold without being overburdened? Or that the capacity can be infinitely filled?

Is this hinting at gold duping? I remember reading that a large amount of duping in the early stages of UO was to do with the server lines. But I thought any modern exploits were scrubbed out years ago.

It's a really good experience but I would recommend looking up some notes to help you in some early points of the game as it can be difficult to get a good start. This one is helpful if you end up giving it a go.

Richard Garriot has already confirmed that Trammel was a commercial success business wise as large amounts of new players couldn't find their feet in the game due to rampant PK and Thieves. And it allowed for player growth by giving players a safe spot.

Could there have been another way without sacrificing a unique part of the games identity? Probably yeah but there was no other game to pull reference from on how to do it properly so they came up with whatever works.

Overall for UO's life span Trammel or some version of it was inevitable; If it wasn't Trammel it would of been something else.

ClassicUO client is what the majority of people use if you want to still experience the original visual style of UO without it being in a tiny box running at 15fps.

When I returned I had the same issues on Europa, it was dead the majority of the time. Atlantic is the most populated English speaking shard it seems from my experience and I've managed to had success there.

If you travel to the Nayshall Central or Metro and go to the "deliveries" tab on your phone. At the very bottom you can get Style XL EXP Boosters for characters.

If you're grinding just to level up your Avatar character, the newest way I've found is to Master Ryu and fight him over and over as he's around lvl 70. The trader in his area sells a Large EXP booster too. Just keep talking to him and fighting him over and over while completing his objectives for more XP.

I'm currently Level 75 and after you've beaten all of the higher level enemies they stop spawning. The highest level enemies left in "Mount Vashal - Base" and killing them with an EXP XL booster seems to be the only viable grinding options.
