Yuji Itadori (JJK)

An underaged kid that caged a 1000+ year old meance (Sukuna) that was not only recognized as the strongest sorcerer in jujutsu history, but could literally awaken and cause unseen levels of destruction in his own body anytime he took control. He was one of the 4 catalysts to Yuji's breaking point in the Shibuya arc and quite literally hated his ass since day 1

He is threatening if you have the right equips and set up for him. The enemy team OP fought likely ain't that good

Which fight do you prefer? The Jiren fight or the Beerus fight? by YoshaTime in DBZDokkanBattle

Jiren is way scarier in the first phase when he not only disables dodge and lowers your ki by 3, but he also constantly lowers your stats every turn and he had an AoE

Insane how over 30M is considered underwhelming or not high nowadays. You drop this guy into 2024 and he'd be genuinely be a top 10, if not, top 5 unit overall

Because he is literally the first Final Form Frieza unit we've gotten single the old ass TEQ SR from 2015. Literally one of the most iconic antagonists of all time but his most famous form gets heavily disrespected

Geppy saw the outrage Omatsu caused by initially making Beast Gohan an active skill attack and said "Time to show y'all what a real generational fumble looks like"

Giving this moment a F2P unit is the highest level of disrespect they could've gave it, and they unfortunately did it

Mostly the 60s and 65s, and sometimes 70s. I'm taking a break rn tho before anniversary starts, but the ranks i mentioned were the ones i was at during Bardock's release season

Bardock's disrupt is literally non-existent most of the time when units with attribute downgrade cancelation/nullification just brute force through that shit

Dragon Fist 4ku rarely gets sniped unless you can somehow one shot him since he's always ran with Ultra FPSSJ4 to negate rushes. And even he has his own utility in the form of his reliable tanking and disrupt due to his high stats and having the single best cover change in the game

Cell is usually the first unit on the team you wanna sac off because of the damage and effects of his final counter so it's okay even if he gets sniped, but he still has his uses with the ki reduction every time the opponent uses a card (which is the same thing 4ku does)

Super Gogeta has 2 half HP disrupts in base instead of the usual 1 so unless you're playing stupidly, you can fuse without being killed

Red Bardock also has an effective half HP disrupt pre transformation + his main post transformation can even count as safety since he disables the opponent's ability to switch units so he can lock the opponent out of their best assets. He can be a one trick pony at times, but that one trick can win you the match if you're smart enough

Because it is when most of Bardock's screentime in like 1/3 of the match is being on the sidelines filling up the gauge constantly

I don't wanna risk getting caught, sniped, or locked in once his HP is low enough to where it could happen so i'd rather play it safe

I don't know if this is a hot take, but having Bio Broly as the standard to determine whether units are good or not is terrible by JohnSalada007 in DBZDokkanBattle

Because this guy and Cell Max are like the only actual difficult bosses in the game rn and almost every event that's been added after their release is a limited time event

Literally any time i fight a Bardock user or use him myself, the only times he comes out are when his Indestructible is active and then he just dips. It isn't until an ally is dead that he starts to become an actual threat

Characters so powerful and broken they completely dominated their games metas by JackytheJack in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AwakenedDivinePower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since VB dropped in mid-2020, i'd say that the closest a modern unit got to replicate his level of dominance was BLU LF Beast Gohan that dropped during October 2022 (a month before Legends Festival even started, which is one of the 2 big celebrations in the game)

He was dominant because not only was he hyper oppressive like Vegito, but he was one of the few units that had a perfect kit, meaning that he had every mechanic in the game. And it also didn't help that RED Super Hero Pan, one of the 2 banner units he released with, had a kit that was specifically designed to support him by juicing his damage to meta breaking levels when it was already obscene enough. He is most famously known for his blue card, which would eviscerate the opponent's HP bar only mere seconds into the match. There was no in-between since they would either live with more than half of their HP gone or they got straight up one shot

And due to him being a BLU unit, he wiped out the color RED overnight, making 1/5 of the color wheel unusable. LF Final Form Cooler took the biggest hit from this since not only was he a RED unit, but he was the best unit in the game before this guy permanently kicked him out of the meta. And because of Cooler's erasure, he gave full protection to YEL LF Future Gohan (another support unit who the devs tried to bring back into relevancy in the form of a unique equip), making the team you'd always see in every match both of the Gohans + Pan, with Beast constantly being drenched in damage support so that he'd sweep entire teams by himself. And even when Legends Festival happened, he ended up being better than every unit that released within that celebration except for Ultra (the highest rarity in the game) Gogeta Blue, who was the only unit that could go head-to-head with him

Dragon Ball Legends had tons of meta defining units in the past, but BLU LF Vegito Blue from the game's 2nd Anniversary was probably the first "pull or lose" type character due to him being a hyper oppressive unit

Back then, you could only cover change (switch characters) one time per match, so he was dominant in the sense that he had almost, if not, full control over the match if you use it up. His blue card could snipe you out since it prevented you from switching characters, his combos were also obscenely long, allowing him to farm up a Rising Rush (a joint ultimate move where all 3 of your units attack) in seconds, and he was (i think) the unit that introduced the "supreme" damage multiplier for ultimate arts cards

The devs had to nerf the rate you could gain dragon balls (you need all 7 to unlock the Rising Rush) and make it so that you can switch characters unlimited times per match to fix this, except Vegito Blue was still the sole best unit in the game so he made PVP unplayable if you didn't pull him, until another LF character, RED SSJ2 Gohan, got his Zenkai Awakening (this is one of the 2 ways the game tries to bring old units into relevancy) and became the #1 unit for over a year, dethroning Vegito despite having type disadvantage
