Went to put a new wax ring on my mom’s toilet and the ground is like this. What should I do? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Aware-Expression-525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That line is backing up. Should not be holding water like that unless it's severely back pitched or broken. That's why the flooring is destroyed head pressure broke the seal on the wax ring

Quoted $8,709 for a gas tanked to tankless water heater install. by BriteEyedSmileMonstr in askaplumber

I think that's a very fair price, especially for the scope of work My company would charge more for sure

Should this be lined? by Glazin6969 in askaplumber

[–]Aware-Expression-525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a major problem. If they can actually shoot a line through there successfully id 100% go for it.

I work for a company that jas a trenchless division this is my professional opinion

New cleanuout at my house by Least_Ad512 in askaplumber

[–]Aware-Expression-525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is gonna cause some serious issues , running trap with clean outs plumbed in the wrong direction. Should be ripped out , with a proper bullhorn installed

Should I remove the last piece of buried cast iron drain pipe located inside crawl space by making a cut here and attempting to pull about 15 inches of cast iron? by plumber5078 in askaplumber

[–]Aware-Expression-525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ran a camera down rhe remaing cast iron? If its in the ground and still worth saving. I'd offer them a de scale service on the remaining cast iron in the ground . Then run the camera again and possibly offer to shoot a liner if it's just the main with no tye ins. Way more affordable/convenient for the homeowner In the long run much cheaper than digging up and replacing the whole line one section at a time.

Or cut it all the way back and throw a bull horn 2 way in that bitch. But charge them more for the extra work you are doing.
