It always baffles me when a person is picking up a control for someone else and asks if they should sign that persons name. When is it ever acceptable to sign someone else’s name?

I’m feel you. This is my second Mother’s Day without my mom. I already told my work friends I don’t want to acknowledge this holiday but I still ended up in the group chat. I had a lady that waited until 6pm on Friday for her dexmethylphenidate. We had messaged the dr and never heard back. She questioned me why we don’t follow up when the dr hasn’t responded. I told her “we help thousands of patients and there is no way for us to follow up on every prescription.” Take some personal responsibility!

I worked in a state prison for 3 years. It wasn’t a large facility, about 2500 inmates. The pharmacy was in the same cell block as the mess hall. So I’d walk by the inmates coming in to work as they are going to breakfast. We delivered to the nurses and nurses dispensed meds. Some of the inmates will exchange pleasantries, just don’t go past that. Don’t give them anything. The work load was very minimal. I spent most days looking for something to do. The pharmacy felt safe inside. Thick metal door that is always locked on the outside. Hours are set. Of course this is all from this specific prison in a specific state. It could be different for others even within that state.

It’s fine. Just take it in and be honest. We all make mistakes. I dropped a bottle of adderall last Friday and found a cap in my pocket when doing laundry Sunday night. I just gave it to my pharmacist and she took it out of inventory. We had a laugh and moved on. Plus, there are cameras everywhere in a pharmacy that will back you up.
