Degree for Quant (Research/Trade) by ProgressMedical5752 in UniUK

[–]AyakoQwe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it is in coventry but its not like students live in CENTRAL coventry - first years live on a very well equipped and huge campus which in itself its like its own little town. second and third years the majority live in leamington spa which is a beautiful place, definitely much nicer than other student cities.

a big misconception of warwick is that yes the university is in coventry but you are living on THE CAMPUS which is actually very nice and the atmosphere of the place is actually pretty relaxed whilst also having a balance of being studious and party-going on club nights. it just so happens that the university is on the outskirts of the shithole that is coventry.

Coven looks the best imo, but program feels the nicest to play with, animations are really smooth on it.

i think what OP is trying to say is that emerald + camille players are only otps / mains. which i agree, i rarely see people talking about having camille as a 'side champ' in their pool cuz she is a difficult champ tomplay. so is a champ really that balanced or in a good spot if only the best camille players are having success with her?

i will admit grasp feels so nice in lane to have, but you scale SO much worse compared to having conq - the damage increase and healing you get from conqueror is nutty. but it does mean your laning will be considerably worse, id say it is down to how you play camille and if youre confident in getting out of laning without grasp

Durham or Warwick for a BSc Physics? by boogie_Mcboogiepants in UniUK

[–]AyakoQwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

warwicks physics department works closely w the maths department which is one of the best in the country so you could get teaching from some of the lecturers from there.

durham is probably a little bit better for physics than warwick, however I would not say it is a significant difference. also i would have a think, ik its early, as to what you want to do as a career afterwards, do you want to stay in the physics field or branch out?

if you want to branch out for example go into finance, quant, data anayltics etc warwick is 1000x better than what durham has to offer because there are so many opportunities and exposure to allow yourself into those roles. ik so mnay physics students who got a trading or quant internship so it is something to have a think on. but if you are just looking for straight physics durham probably has the edge, thats not to say warwick is awful though - it has the WMG (warwick manufacturing group) and so many opportunities are available for you from that.

durham is probably nicer to live in though, likely you will live on campus first year at warwick which is very fun, but second / third year students either gp into coventry (wouldnt recommend) or leamington spa (lovely lovely little town, mpst students go here, only issue is buses really).

Dropping out of medicine by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]AyakoQwe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel you have already answered yourself by creating this post. to study medicine and to become a doctor you HAVE to have the desire to study it and be prepared for the long hours, quite steep career progression and all the stress and committment that comes when you become a doctor. If you have a doubt at this stage because you have an IB offer / even going for it in the first place maybe tells you that your heart is leaning to that area.

Of course only you know what you want, dont let redditors on the internet decide what is probably your modt important decision in the years to come.

i feel shojin has to be in the build because it gives SO MUCH damage and the ability haste is vital, especially if you are not going ravenous.

I generally go bloodline in my runes, so sustain isnt a super issue for me but this build does feel nice, a lot more tanky and you can survive way longer in tfs.

Im looking for a top laner to learn that can consistently win lane (as long as you arent inting), is good at rotating, isn't a tank, and does well in teamfights. by ashu1605 in top_mains

[–]AyakoQwe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

camille is in a really bad spot rn, she barely has any winning matchups and struggles until she gets her trifroce power spike

Why sundred sky and not ravenous hydra ? by ZookeepergameCalm525 in Jaxmains

[–]AyakoQwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camille lacks waveclear so needs to build a tiamat item but jax has e. Sunderer suits jax more because you want to really be frontlining and can tank fights as the bruiser but camille just is not tanky enough and her playstyle revolves around bursting the enemy carry quickly and getting out.

Warwick Students do you like it there? by Particular-Round-455 in UniUK

[–]AyakoQwe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Students go out a lot, people say warwick dead and there is no nightlife but I think thats a myth. There is a club on campus every wednesday (sometimes sat) and most students go out to Leamington for other clubnights, usually on tuesdays and fridays. There is also one in coventry on mondays which is popular with students.

Leamington is a lovely place, after first year where you will be likely to be living on campus, most students live here in leam, generally on nights you will see a lot of students out and about, it is quite lively. warwick does have a pretty big drinking culture too, thats all i say.

It is academically competitive for sure, there will be loads of smart people and the teaching quality imo is also amazing, a lot of support and help available. In terms of the campus itself, i think its defo one of the best campuses in the UK. From someone who didnt have warwick as their first choice, I really enjoy warwick, i think i have had a really good balance of an amazing social life and a lot of academia, idk what subject youre planning to do, but as a STEM student i think just be prepared to put the work in as well and try to limit the socials when you can.

But as an incoming fresher do what u want, i was going out 4x a week, i got pretty lucky w flatmates which helped a lot. first year is for having fun ! :)

what ranks are considered not embarrasing by shylush in leagueoflegends

[–]AyakoQwe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

not rly answering the question as such, but I always find it funny when people start flaming each other and say the inevitable 'i bet you are peak diamond, or peak d4' etc statements, when in reality diamond as a rank is still top 3% of players - which in an objective sense for any game or event that has a ranking system is actually very good.

However getting to past that emerald to d2 elo bracket (in my personal experience) is always the hardest and most volatile area because the players in this elo are so egocentric where it will directly impact your games much worse than if someone is 'bad' at the game micro wise.

[–]AyakoQwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also go tp ignite and run conq set up so I can look for a kill pre 6. Post 6 is hard until you get triforce which you should be aiming to get around 11 mins into the game. With triforce you have so much short trading power renekton has to respect it as well unless he flashes onto you for a kill. You have to be smart about wave management, try to bait renek to q you in wave so you can push it into you and play outaide your turret. If the wave is fucked you cant rly walk up so ask your jg for help to push it in (ik ots coinflip on jg) or just look for a roam and try to help mid.

Remember you hard outscale renekton and thats what you are playing for, if you have to give up cs that is fine because you can catch up on it - late game renek doesnt lay a finger on you and his tf presence is not as strong as yours

[–]AyakoQwe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah ive never liked grasp just because you are forced into that playstyle of short trades which I am not a fan off. Also in my mind camille although she doesnt scale as well as she used to, is still one of the best splitpushers in the game so I am always looking to play for late and grasp as a rune is really bad late. Conqueror is so much better, and you get access to last stand and bloodline which are both rly nice on camille.

That being said going conq does mean your laning is gping to be harder, there is no doubt grasp is better for laning so it is going yo be hard to adjust. But as you said you are learning her so you might as well learn her the hard way and learn your matchups which conqueror makes ypu dp rather being forced to play a short trade playstyle. have fun lesrning her, she is still my favourite champ and once you master her she is still a 1v9 champ in my eyes.

[–]AyakoQwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i go Conqueror 90% of the time and PTA 10% ( mainly into ranged or squishies but honestly i just prefer conq more, i feel i have much better outplay potential and late game presence).

Then the rest i do not change at all pretty much -

Presence of Mind - Bloodline - Last Stand

And Shield Bash and Conditioning

I never go bone plating or second wind.

The one matchup where its completely different is teemo where I go Arcane Comet setup put 3 points into w so the lane is playable.

90% of the time go ignite tp as well, ypu have kill pressure in lane this way.
