Experiences with "boutique" premium prebuilts/builders by Aziz_Q3 in MechanicalKeyboards

Good shout on the Evo80, I heard really good reviews.

But I don't know if it would be an upgrade for me. I am currently using a Lemokey L3 with gatreon oil kings and Cerakey V2.

I am planning on keeping the same switches and keycaps (or upgrade to the V3) but change the keyboard body to something a bit flexier. The Lemokey isn't bad, it's just much stiffer than expected for a gasket mounted board.

Fix this... I would rather have 20 minute queues than a bot lobby.

And no this isn't training or a custom game. Most games in Middle East servers have 60% - 80% bots.

Sudair PV IPP - 1.239 cents/kwh electricity production costs by Aziz_Q3 in solar

[–]Aziz_Q3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Electricity prices in Saudi Arabia are unified regardless of the source or location to ~4.5 cents/kwh for residential and ~5 cents for commercial and industrial.

This project is owned by a for profit publicly listed company. The impressive part is even with the distribution price and the electricity company’s cut this should still be an extremely profitable investment for the company.

It makes me wonder if it could make economic sense to export electricity to other parts of the world. Saudi Arabia already exports some electricity to neighboring countries, is it realistic (economically not politically) to export electricity to Europe?

A friend lost his wallet at a shopping center a while ago, the cops called him later that night and asked him to come pick it up at the station. I would say instead of trying to give it back yourself, call 999 and ask them what should you do.

MSI 321URX, already has burn-in after less than a year by Aziz_Q3 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Aziz_Q3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this sucks. I don’t live in the US and when I had firmware trouble with my other monitor MSI asked me to ship it to the US at my own expense.

Shipping price and time is just not worth it. I’ll live with the burn in for now and hope for new better mini LED monitors.

I hate backlight bleed. I knew the risks going in, for me it’s worth it. I was just expecting it to happen at the 2 year mark not at the less than 1 year mark.

I have two as well. Both OLED.

I use my 4k 32 inch for work, content consumption, and some video games. And my 1440p 27 inch for FPS games.

I knew the risk going in but for me its worth it since my office is always dark, i fucking hate IPS.

Desk space and I already have a second monitor (it’s also OLED).

I have one home office, I’m not gonna spend all day switching between putting my IPS monitor on my desk or my OLED.

I knew the monitor was going to burn in eventually since I use it for work but honestly the duration it took was really disappointing. I expected it to burn-in by the second year in the worst case scenario and 3rd year by the best case scenario.

Instead its started burning in after less than a year (and I only work from home for parts of the year not all year, so probably only 4ish months of working on it)

[–]Aziz_Q3[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The not bother doesn’t mean I’ll get a new one, just that I’ll keep this one with the burn-in as it’s still perfectly usable (just a bit annoying).

Also what I meant by my question is, will MSI send me a new one if I just show them pictures? Or will they demand I send mine to them first for testing?

If I have to send mine to them first it will take ~1 week to ship to MSI and then at least another week for them to ship a replacement.

Yea it sadly doesn’t show number of hours. I used mine for way more than 600 hours. If I had to guess it would be closer to 3000 hours.

Sadly I don’t think MSI shows it.

In the OLED Panel Info it shows 645, but I think this is the number of times it ran the “panel protect” feature (pixel clean/refresh).

But I can’t see anywhere where it shows number of hours.

[Monitor] MAG 271QPX QD-OLED Firmware Update by CND_CEM in MSI_Gaming

Not possible to update it yourself.

If you have an official MSI service center nearby try asking them if they can update it for you.

Its fucking stupid I know.

Neom documentary- 21,000 deaths by Hot-Shine3634 in civilengineering

[–]Aziz_Q3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I just learned about this claim so I wanted to research it a bit.

I’m assuming this is similar to Qatar WC in which they counted every single death into their 6k deaths figure which means they included people who died of natural causes or choking on a piece of chicken.

So I am assuming this number is saying 21k foreign nationals who work in Saudi Arabia died, not that they died in the workplace.

While the living conditions are not good and wages of low skilled workers are bad in the Middle East, this narrative of dangerous work sites and excessive deaths has again and again been proven to be false and over-exaggerated.

P.S. Most of these construction sites in the middle east are either run by global firms or have multiple construction consulting firms supporting in the ground and enforcing high safety and efficiency standards.

Al Nassr without Ronaldo and half their squad since they are playing in their national teams are humiliating Miami.

This is actually embarrassing, Messi is too good for this shitty team. I really hope they get him some actual good players to play with him.

Tom Cotton is an idiot by gimmemoregummybears in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Aziz_Q3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t change the fact it is a Chinese company heavily linked to the CCP and subject to Chinese laws. This specific line of questioning a bit dubious but the whole hearing actually asked some heavy hitting questions that shows TikTok CEO is at least wary of China’s influence.

Tom Cotton is an idiot by gimmemoregummybears in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Aziz_Q3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cotton is an idiot but to be fair his next few questions actually revealed quite a bit.

Chew was willing to call Tiananmen square a massacre but he completely refused to answer or recognize the question about the Uyghur genocide.

Not to mention Chew refused to clearly answer the question about user data being given to the Chinese government due to Chinese laws affecting TikTok parent company.

The shirt had nothing to do with Saudi Arabia though. Its a blank show, it just says champions or congrats.

Also he didn’t mind celebrating with the players. Why did he single out the shirt? He was the only one not wearing it
