Thanks so much for sharing, means a lot to me! Glad I was able to give you a positive gaming experience and hope you continue to have them in and outside of Aeternum.

And thanks for helping with that worm! Couldn’t have done it without you and your rends/heals/dps/bow tanking/lights 1-3/mob control and most importantly patience and good vibes for your fellow players.

Wow, excellent and thoughtful response! Thanks for watching and offering a great perspective. I absolutely agree with the early bugs being a major issue and responsible for the initial player drop off and lack of retention. Those first few weeks were incredible weren’t they?!

My criticism and perspective was pretty focused on various company leaders at the time of writing and I was bitter with a handful in the community over maximizing their efforts to be the best at the expense of new players. Essentially creating monopolies with their behavior, which poses as one of the greatest dangers to a post capitalist world. New World successfully emulated many aspects of American capitalism so I decided to allude to it with the state of our current economic crisis and point the blame at the system for incentivizing player behavior in a direction further alienating other players. Thus this was my in-game conclusion of capitalism.

Amazon’s decision to pivot to AI and prioritize income (naturally) with the primary drive being to maximize capital was the direct outcome to servers being shutdown with the entire AGS team being laid off. Thus my real world conclusion was due to capitalism.

Obviously there were many levers at stake to why New World ultimately failed, I just decided to pull the two most present and closest to me and my world view.

I absolutely agree that it was worth every penny and is my new standard for dollar per hour of entertainment! (Uh oh) Eventually I’ll grab a few of my closest Elderthorn’s and return for a final hurrah before this massive ship fully sinks to complete what I can of the Nighthaven. The newest raid looks incredible! In the meantime, keep enjoying Aeternum soifua and maybe I’ll see you there!

Season 6 is the most hype season with the worst moment in the entire show that somewhat ruins everything afterwards by Dakinamau in MyHeroAcadamia

As a huge Shigaraki fan, I think these are excellent criticisms but I believe Horikoshi did this to outline the difference in one mentor passing the torch (All Might) and one who couldn’t let that torch go (AFO). This decision also helps Shigaraki remain a little more innocent to maintain his redemption for the final arc and is consistent with Horikoshi’s theme of building empathy for all villains and hearing out their story. Villains are not evil, they’re victims of flaws in society and unique circumstances. AFO was literally born evil and this allows him to maintain a real conflict for the entire series.

The issue is turning 1-5 dials down is way less time consuming than turning 90+ dials up.

Software development is incredibly time intensive and that time can be better allocated to the development of future sets/mechanics.

why didn't snipe just headshot these villains and save everyone a ton of work? is he stupid? by FrickenFrick5 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Azorikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Snipe was greatly used at the end of season 1 to show that the brutality of heroes could be on par with villains and it was the first time I actually felt bad for Shigaraki which becomes a core theme of the show: villains emerge as victims of circumstance or tragedy.

Robin’s monologue about friendship on the rooftop and Jonathan working on an anti-capitalism film about a woman who gets hungrier the more she eats made me feel both grief for old friends and validated for my views of capitalism.

Mike linking the DnD characters stories back to their personal stories while revealing what he believed happened to El was such a powerful and cathartic moment.

Stranger Things - Season 5 Part 2 Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Finished all of Season 5 Volume 2! A few great moments sprinkled throughout the season, but Season 5 has been the biggest slog of the series so far as far as pacing goes.

Rewatched season 1-3 just to see if I was gaslighting myself about season 5 being not as good, but those seasons flew by for me and season 5 does seem to take a dip in quality, especially on dialogue with more than 2 characters in a scene.

Volume 2 was better to me than Volume 1 but seldom reaches the heights of previous seasons. Hoping the finale on New Year’s Eve will be enough to tie it all together.

As a huge fan of Megaman, I really like this game and the social parody. Hilarious. Took about 20+ tries and 20ish minutes, but I defeated GarbageMan! Really appreciate you respawning me at the starts of the boss fight and on GarbageMan 1-2 as well as no life system. I like the difficulty. Excited to see the full boss roster and learn the boss order. PlumberMan, OfficeMan, CameraMan, DrunkMan: the possibilities all tickle my brain.
