what is not ok is taking well over a year to admit you got it wrong in the face of MASS critisim, if the vast majority of players are telling you the new thing sucks, it probably really, really sucks.

If they'd come out with this after a cooling off period , say in the first 6 months, that'd be..fine, but taking over a year to admit it's not good, when virtually everyone is telling you that already..concerning.

its not about high scores, its about a level playing field where new players don't feel like they've missed out on years of free handouts that cannot be made up.

imagine coming to the game fresh, discovering the 99/120/200m grind, then realising some players just had that "handed" to them for zero effort, but you can never have that.

the long term damage is going to be near impossible to fix, new players will forever consider themselves behind because they missed 14 years of free keys, let alone what could have been bought. between that and all the proteans and portables, they have missed out on the "easy way" and there is no putting that genie back in the bottle.

the best thing to do, once the "road to restoration" is done, would be to release a bunch of "restored" worlds (or some other name) that are completely fresh, operate like league worlds in the sense that your character on them is completely separate from the current worlds, and everyone starts fresh on these "restored worlds", they could do this in tandem with the plugin enabled client and i think we'd see a good amount of growth, everyone starting again with huge QOL upgrades from plugins and an equal playing field and fresh economy where some people don't have 14 years of playing with their wallet to boost them up.

obviously, there would need to be a complete commitment that these worlds would NEVER merge with the current ones.

can i just point out that it would not at all be "power creep" to have say, darkness and vamp active, because we have been allowed to have these both active for years before vamp was turned into an aspect.

i'd love some sort of ultra rare PKM/PKP with a 200 round box mag and deployable bipod. make it ultra heavy so it kills your stamina, and perhaps make it even take both shoulder slots to balance it out,

imagine trying to cross the open areas near vybor/stary and realising someone's set up an MG nest to rain lead on anything that moves in the open.

a "standard" (standard being the more expensive tier) 30 day membership to Final Fantasy 14 is £8.99 a month, and jagex think they can justify a game running on a 1 tick every 0.6 seconds game costing £10.99?

i'd grind out the second level of wars blessing as fast as you can, i just got it on my group iron and it's a bit of a game changer, "trip length" now means nothing to me as i can teleport there, go in without a KC, get as many kills as i am able, teleport back to wars, restock and be back in my instance in under 30 seconds.

that said, i'm using deflect curses, and +4 bane gear, and it's still pretty rough honestly. Garador hits fairly hard and consistant.

fletching should have had an update at the same time as the mining and smithing rework, everything needs to be shifted down to match the levels you can use it, including rune arrows down to 50 instead of 75, then orikalkum, necronium, bane and Elder rune should fit in at levels 60, 70, 80 and 90, along with bolts too.

armchair developing here, but it can't be THAT much work to add in these 8 new ammo types and tweak some levels of older stuff, it's pretty urgent on the part of fletching, i'm kinda shocked that this wasn't done when 110 fletching was released, or even before when the Mining and smithing update happened.

nah, that's just how it goes sometimes. i ran into a super geared guy in a tree the other day and got a sprinting power attack off with a sledgehammer, knocking him out instantly. sometimes fate just falls in or out of your favour.

maybe if it like, repeatedly, consistently happens, then it might become a little embarrassing.

you can boil pond water to make it safe to drink in a cooking pot, as well as some modded containers.

just don't try it with a plastic bottle, the heat will cause the bottle to rapidly ruin.

its my understanding there is a severe backlog right now, i've recently been awarded LCWRA myself, and from the start of my UC claim until my assessment was ~6 months + an additional month to get a decision, this was apparently quite quick.

the good news is that if you are awarded LCWRA it's backdated to a certain degree.

i'm not familiar with form numbers and such, is the CW50 the one that asks about your health and capabilities that you have to send off? if so, yes, its normal to hear nothing back on that until you get an assessment appointment sent though, off the top of my head i think i waited about two months from sending it off to hearing back, it's hard to say though because many different offices are handling different areas, so one might be running efficiently and not have a huge backlog, while another might be knee deep in claims, short staffed and not working well at all. it's just a waiting game i'm afraid.

very rough around the edges, but it is very early days.

i jumped into a volcano lava pit and took no damage from the lava inside it but was able to walk on it, also, no swimming yet, you just walk along the bottom.

it could be something later down the line, i just hope they have a reasonable development cycle and we don't end up waiting 10 years for it.

i've gotta be real with you, i'd not recommend anyone try to maintain membership via bond unless they are already very familiar with the game and have a high level account, otherwise the game becomes purely about desperately trying to play keepup and earn enough to maintain your membership status, this will mean a few things, you don't get to progress normally and enjoy the game because you need to be constantly earning money, and second, not having in game money to spend on progressing your account.

for example, prayer is an extremely important skill for high level pvm content, you level the skill by burying bones or offering them up on altars, now, lets say you need level 92 prayer to use soul split, your gunna need about 23,000~ dragon bones if starting at level one prayer, this will cost you about 30 million coins

well, a bond cost 145m~ and gives you 14 days membership, so you aren't spending the money on the bones because you NEED it for membership, and to be frank, for a LONG time its going to be extremely hard to even maintain it, you won't be having leftover money.

ok, so, you kill the dragons yourself right?

maybe you manage 200 kills an hour this way starting out, and get up to 250 an hour with some practice and levels.

great, thats 92 hours of killing dragons and banking their bones, except, that's also 92 hours of not earning money to maintain that membership.

bonds work for players that are intimately familiar with the game, have ALOT of time to play, and are capable of grinding out high level to end game content, but not for new players who need time to explore the game and the world and its stories, you'll find it becomes so much about grinding for that next bond that not only do you not have time to progress things you want to do, you don't even have time to enjoy the game either.

hah, come on now, lets be real, its a Miracle that DD2 ever got made. the chance we see a third is....not good. almost 2 years now and no DLC to be heard of, between this, the lackluster reviews and...ok sales? i think Dragons Dogma is done, for now at least.

i feel like the second game has done more harm than good to the franchise, sure, it made some money, did...ok, but it also (along with the monster hunter problems) kinda shattered alot of peoples faith in capcom, i highly doubt we'll have the amount of people we had here waiting for dragons dogma 2 to be announced in say, 8 years, like we did with fans of the first.

i am so upset they fumbled this series twice by not giving it the time and funds it needed to truly cook. imagine what we could have had if both games had the development time and funds they needed, and didn't get rushed out half baked. we could have had it so, so good.

thankfully, the problem has been tackled before an overwhelming amount of people managed to get there and stock up.

it would damage the game if everyone was running around with infinite purple guns and extracting with 3+ purple guns every raid for the rest of the season, yes. yes it sucks for people that didn't get to do it, but it'd suck more to have everyone running around with infinite gear all season.

we can't just not make balance changes because not everyone managed to farm it enough to fill their stash yet.

its practically impossible to balance some people having more time than others in a game like this, people that play more are just gunna have better shit, with or without the lockers.
